"Mr Styles thought I was a girl," Zayn explained gravely to his family. Having been the victim of this bizarre case of mistaken identity, he didn't feel inclined to spare his patient's embarrassment. 

After a startled pause, this announcement was greeted with predictable hilarity. The twins cracked up, even Yaser looked amused.

"Now, there's a novelty." Doniya lost her habitual cynical expression as she grinned in malicious joy at her brother.

Not wanting to come over as someone totally without humour, Harry smiled- it wasn't the easiest thing he'd ever done.

Zayn wasn't a vindictive guy- he'd made his point, and he had no wish to see Harry squirm excessively. He decided to take the spotlight off his mistake.

Harry's eyes did another unscheduled detour- this time in the direction of Zayn's flat chest. There's no possibility that anyone would make that particular mistake in his case. His jeans; the right choice of denim clinging to his impossibly fit thighs. The more details he took in, the more he felt inclined to think he really was concussed- nothing else could explain the fact he'd mistaken him for a girl!

"I'll take him to the hospital." 

"That's alright Zayn, I'll do it." Doniya offered.

Zayn raised his hands to ruffle up his sister's beautiful tresses affectionately. "No, you've just had a long drive. I'll do it. Always supposing you two filled up my car last night after you used it."

The two seventeen-year-old twins looked innocently hurt that he'd raised the possibility they might have found a better use for his twenty quid.

"As if we would."

The three older members of their family snorted.

"It's really not necessary," Harry began, getting to his feet. "I've no wish to impose."

The fine dark-haired bloke looked amused by Harry's attempt to regain a bit of dignity. "You've already imposed, Mr Styles," he responded bluntly. "So you might as well get your money's worth."
