With Thanksgiving only two days away everything seemed to be going perfectly until they decided to call Jay.

“Hmmm. It went to voicemail.” Caitlin said looking at the phone.

“Maybe she’s having a good time with her new family.” Bella said.

“Maybe.” Caitlin said setting the phone to her lap.

“Here let me try.” Jessica picked the phone up.

“I just tried and she didn’t answer.” Jessica just put her hand up as she redialed. The phone rang a few times.

“Hello?” Jay voice sounded a bit scratchy like she just woke up.

“JAY!” Jessica said cheerfully. “How are you sweets? Hanging out with the fam having fun?” there was a bit of silence.

“Not really. I’m Back at Northwood.” She started sobbing. Jessica’s smile faded.

“What!? Northwood why? I thou-“ Caitlin snatched the phone.

“Jay? What happened please tell me!” Caitlin said as the girls moved closer in panic.

“I… um.. I don’t really know. Everything was going so well.” She sniffled and tried to keep her composer as she talked. “Then one night my suppose to be new dad came in my room in the middle of the night.”

“Oh god.” Caitlin said under her breath. She lowered her head into her hand.

“What?” the others asked. Caitlin put her finger on her lip signaling for them to be quiet. They all got closer.

“He started touching me, and I tried to tell him to stop but he said if I wasn’t quiet he would kill me but make it look like an accident.” She started crying.

 “Oh god, Jay did he..”

“No he didn’t rape me just molested me.” She sniffled. Caitlin stood up in anger and walked to the counter and set her elbow on it. She lowered her head in her hand.

“That’s not all. When his wife found out he told her it was me who seduced him and stuff, so she smacked me in the face and pushed me around. She jerked me up and took me to the bedroom where she whipped me with a belt.” Caitlin quickly hit her fist down on the counter making the glasses by the sink shake a bit and plates rattled as they bounced on each other. This startled the girls. They stood and surrounded her. “They threw me out at the gates of Northwood.”

“Jay I… I’m so sorry… Are you ok?” Caitlin had a hard time speaking she was so angry and had a knot in her throat.

“I have a broken arm and a few scrapes and bruises. I’m not gonna lie I feel like shit. I feel like I’ve been beat with a ball bat and left for dead in the rain in a dark alleyway. But I will be ok.” Caitlin cringed at her comparison. There was silence. “Kate?”

“I’m hear babe just trying to process it all... I just want to beat their fucking asses. I swear I’ll get you out of there somehow…” Caitlin’s blood was boiling. She kept her head down turned away from the girls who were huddled together holding on to each other.

“I would really like that,” Jay said with a slight giggle at the end. She sniffled a little bit. “I have to go know Vicky’s coming and I have to mop the halls. Bye I love you, send the girls my love too.”

“I love you too and I will. Bye.” Caitlin hung the phone up and slid it to the side. As she brought her hand back in front of her the girls could see it shaking. They moved closer but she kept her head down. Hedda grabbed her arm lightly.
