single failure & final defeat

13/02/20

So it turned out that the whole doping ordeal against Wynter was a grand mistake conducted by the football associations – so you can believe how enraged the french player became when she got ahold of the news as she made her way back to Liverpool with much anticipation built up in her system.

The harsh words on her name, the disruption of playing alongside her teammates, the extra training sessions, the public hiatus and of course, the articles that spoke on her name for others to turn their backs on her—ultimately all for nothing which set the french player off. Not just because all of this outcry towards her was fuelled by hasty accusations from various football associations but also because she wasn't even given the opportunity to explain her side of the situation when everything first blew up as everyone was quick to view her as the defendant.

In many cases, it's understandable for football associations to make sure the regulations for those in the sports scenery were being strictly followed on the regular because unfortunately, those regulations are usually broken right under FIFA or UEFA's premises. Wynter understood that so in one way or another, she allowed her anger towards them to subside as she made her journey back to England.

However, when it came to her situation – one where she had been put on blast to the media who painted her like a football hoax or a trophy hunter only for these football associations to announce that all the accusations against her were a mistake as a result of a misdemeanour – the french player also found it rather difficult to fall back into everyone's apologising when she faced them in a meeting back in Melwood, all these football executives attempting to brush off the situation as if they weren't the rightful stimulators of everything.

Though despite the minor negativity that came over the french player once she touched down in England, most of it dissolved by the time she finally got to join the squad in training out on the pitch, the boys (mainly Trent of course) ambushing her with hugs and concerns when she stepped onto their training pitch for the first time in a month since her temporary departure from the club.

However, with time Wynter got so caught up with Trent that she couldn't bear to fall out of his embrace which brought everyone to the following predicament—the boys attempting to convince the french player to jump off the scouse's back.

"Winnie, I think it's time to let go of Trent now," Jordan explained in a soft tone, trying to reason with his teammate though he reached her with no avail.

"No!" Wynter shook her head as she stuffed her face in Trent's neck, her grip tightening. "It's been way too long. I can't."

"Yes, you can. Stop being so dramatic!" Bobby laughed as he gave Wynter a little nudge with his hand though it did nothing to remove her from her dangled position.

Gini stationed himself behind the couple, holding his arms out. "Just fall back and I'll catch you," he said with a light giggle.

With his words, the french player's face shot up from Trent's neck. "After you told me that last time I don't trust you, Gini. Someone take his place please," she pleaded.

"How rude!" Gini scoffed as his arms fell to his sides. "And to think I was actually going to catch you this time."

Virgil resisted releasing a laugh as he shoved Gini out of the way. "Here. I'm Gini's place now, Winnie. Time to get down for training."

"He's not wrong though," Trent spoke, giving Wynter's thighs a light squeeze to signal that the boys were right.

After a moment of silence, Wynter huffed. "Okay, okay. I'm getting down." Feeling Trent's grip on her thighs loosen, the french player let go of Trent, finally allowing herself to fall back into Virgil's arms.
