It was already on the second set, the Karasuno Girls Volleyball team is on set point against St. Dominique Gakuin High School. They just needed to earn the last point to finally advance to the third round, the captain Yui Michimiya served the ball perfectly to where the opponents setter had to pass through making the receiver pass the ball a little off short. Two girls from Karasuno were ready to block the two spikers on the other side of the court.
The two blockers jumped yet the spike still went through, the libero Nozomi passed it to the setter as the first year wing spiker backed up a little for her approach, she felt the overwhelming pressure from her teammates as she was going to make the last attack to win the game she wanted to score. The ball was set she made her approach and did her best to jump enough to execute her powerful line shot avoiding the blockers. The referee blew the whistle signaling the end of the match, the team rejoiced Michimiya approached her junior ruffling her hair "Good job Matsu!" the first year grinned and celebrated with the rest of the team.

The karasuno boys volleyball team was in awe, as the girl in the jersey number 2 did the impressive line shot. Hinata the tiny middle blocker made a loud sound of amazement "That was so cool!" beside him was the first year setter quietly gazing at the girl that scored the last point, their captain Daichi nodded "That was a powerful spike" they all wondered who the spiker was and Sugawara was first to ask the question out loud
"Do any of you know her?" for a moment nobody spoke until Tsukishima replied "Matsuo... Matsuo Richi" everybody stared at the blonde boy incredulously which annoyed him and made him scoff "What?"
Hinata's head tilted "How do you know her?" he asked in a teasing way
Tsukishima rolled his eyes "She's a friend" slightly disgusted of whatever Hinata was thinking of suddenly everybody started asking questions about her but Tsukki stayed silent, he knew it wasn't his place to tell more information about the girl and he didn't want to get punched in the stomach as well.
The girls lined up in front of the crowd and all said "Thank you very much!" as Matsuo stood up straight she was shocked to see the boys team on the bleachers clapping their hands
"They watched the game?" she thought to herself as she was gathering her things and prepare to get back to the school gym for the meeting.
"Apparently they lost to Aoba Johsai earlier" The vice captain Aihara informed the team "That's why they had the time to watch our game"
The girls exited the court to let the team of the next game to warm up. The boys team decided to greet the girls congratulations for their second victory of the day. Matsuo saw her close friends Tsukki and Yamaguchi in the crowd so she decided to approach them "Kei! Tadashi!" both boys snapped their attention to the approaching girl as usual Tsukki just gave her a blank stare while Yamaguchi greeted her "You did great out there Richi" Matsuo excitedly said thanks and they started to converse about what happened during the boys match.
Suddenly the Hinata popped up behind Tsukki startling Matsuo "Hi! I'm Hinata Shoyo!"
Matsuo smiled "I'm Matsuo Richi call me Matsu" then Hinata started to compliment her spikes overwhelming the girl "Please teach how you do it!" he begged in which she agreed making Hinata jump high in excitement again startling Matsuo on how high he just jumped.
Then in her peripheral vision she saw a tall boy with black hair cropped short, with a fringe that hangs above his dark blue eyes staring at her, when she made eye contact Kageyama was embarrassed to be caught by the girl so he ducked his head and started walking to follow Hinata who just ran off to the bathroom.
"Weird" she thought
She tapped Yamaguchi's shoulder "Who's that?" she asked while discreetly pointing at the boy that was staring earlier
Yamaguchi looked at his teammate before replying "That's Kageyama our setter he's in the same year as us" both didn't know that Tsukki was eavesdropping on their conversation and decided to interupt them "Why Richi san, are you interested in the King of the court?"
She glared at her friend "What are you talking about? King?" she wondered why Tsukki would call the boy King
"Kageyama is a overall great player but he would dictate and complain about his teammates performance back in junior high" Tadashi answered quietly not wanting to get heard by the King himself "But he's improving... kinda" he added
"Still an ass" Matsuo looked at Tsukki who rolled his eyes "It's true"
"King of the court.." she said to herself "interesting" she smirked at the two boys who were wondering what was going on your head and wondering what were you up to...again
"Whatever you're thinking...don't" Tsukki rolled his eyes and started dragging Matsuo out the building "Since your team won you're buying me and Yamaguchi some cake" Yamaguchi cheered happily while you sulked about losing money because of her hungry friends
