I gave you the fragile grip on my heart

Warned you not to tear it apart

Or take it from me with force

To tread upon it with hooves of a horse

But I gave it to you, with far too much trust

Your corrosive effect causing me to rust

Waves of tears drown me slowly

And all I'll feel is cold and lonely

And I'll wrap a scarf of love 'round my head

But the winter leaves my body cold lead

I'm trying to get over you, to leave

To rid myself of how you lie and deceive

I'll be lonely when I'm done, it's true.

But I'm better off not knowing you.
