After Amber left Beth house, she picked up her phone countless times to call Brian but she couldn't. She was scared he would turn her down.
At 8:30pm, Amber was about picking her phone for the hundredth time when Brian called her. She felt estatic.
"Hello."
"Hello, um I called to tell you that I would be coming by . My dad asked me to drop a file at your house which he needs you to study and sign before tomorrow. "
" How long before you get here? "Amber asked. She wanted to know if she could get dressed before he got there.
"Uh.... let's say 15 minutes."
"Okay then I will be expecting you." she said and hung up.
Amber started to get dressed. She tried on most of her gowns and discarded it before choosing a red flowing gown. She was still putting on her makeup when the doorbell rang.
"Hello." Amber said when she opened the door to let Brian in.
"Amber you look beautiful." Brian said politely still standing outside.
" Thanks. "
" Anyway my father said I should give you this." he said handing her a file.
" Wouldn't you come inside for a little while so we could sit and talk? "Amber asked hopefully.
" No thanks. We are already running late." Brian replied.
For the first time Amber looked in the direction of Brian's car. In the passenger seat was a glamorous-looking blonde in a black dress reading a magazine.

Well maybe she's just his friend."Beth said.
Beth didn't believe it when Amber told her what had happened. She continued giving Amber different excuses why Brian was taking a girl out.
"Come on Beth,who takes a friend out at 8:47pm?" Amber asked.
"But you didn't tell him how you feel. You don't know what would have happened then."Beth said trying to convince Amber.
"Beth I don't want to talk about Brian. I only told you what happened because you kept on insisting."Amber said. She had cried through out the night and thinking of it again made her want to cry all over again.
"Alright,we won't talk about him but I feel you should still have told him how you felt."

For weeks Amber couldn't get her mind off Brian. She kept on thinking of where he was and who he was with. She tried asking Mr. Fox about him lots of times but she couldn't bring herself to do it.
Amber was in her office looking out the window when she saw Brian arguing with his dad about something. After few minutes Mr. Fox came back into the building.
Unable to control herself anymore Amber asked,"What happened out there?"
"Nothing serious. Just that he wants to leave the country and I don't want him to go."Mr. Fox replied.
" When is he leaving?"Amber asked hastily.
"Well his plane leaves one hour from now." Mr.Fox replied.
Amber immediately got into her car and chased after Brian. She didn't know what it will change but she wanted to tell him how she felt before he left.
After forty minutes of driving,Amber arrived at the airport. She dashed in hoping he hadn't left already.
At first Amber couldn't find Brian anywhere. She thought his plane had left already until she saw him checking in for a flight.
"Brian please wait up." Amber said out of breath when she got to him.
Clearly surprised Brian asked,"Amber what are you doing here?"
"You are leaving the country without knowing how I feel about you."
" But I do know. You said it was all physical attraction."Brian replied.
" That is not what I feel."
"Then what do you feel?" Brian asked absentmindly.
"I am in love with you."
"Uh?"
"I love you Brian with all my heart." Amber said.
" I love you too."Brian said and embraced her.
After hugging each other for about five minutes Amber raised her from Brian chest and asked,"What about the pretty blonde girl?" Amber asked pretending to be jealous.
" She will survive."Brian said with a smile on his face.
