The next day came and Amber didn't understand what she felt for Brian. She didn't feel like going to the office so she stayed home. She was still in a state of confusion when her dad called out to her.
"What are you thinking?"Mr. Chris asked.
"Uh... Nothing dad."Amber replied.
"Well, I wanted to tell you that we have been invited to a wedding this Saturday. You have to come and come with a date."Mr. Chris said.
Amber immediately thought of Brian. She didn't know if he would agree after their argument at Beth house. She decided to call him.
"Hello Brian, this is Amber. I am calling to ask if you would to be my date on a wedding two days from now."Amber asked hopefully.
"Why would I want to do that?"Brian asked.
"Well, because I don't have anyone else to ask."Amber replied.
There was a long silence on the other end of the call that Amber thought he had hung up when he suddenly said,"Alright, I will be your date on this wedding."and then he hung up.
What does he think of himself. How dare him be so rude just because I asked him. After the wedding is over I am going to teach him a lesson, Amber thought.

Brian was so happy when Amber asked him to be her date. He had sounded indifferently on the phone but he couldn't contain his excitement.
"What happened Brian,why are you looking so pleased?"Mr.Fox asked curiously.
"Well Amber asked me to be her date to a wedding."Brian said happily.
"So?"
"This could be a starting point for our relationship."Brian said.
"Don't get your hopes up,son."Mr. Fox said.
"Dad, don't try to shatter my hopes. Just let me be happy."
