Pave our Way

Taehyung POV
I requested Mr.Bang to send Y/N to America to protect her but the day after which she left I found a note in my locker from Jinah that was somewhat like an apology and a warning that said she'll come back if I try to come close to Y/N ever again.

After that Jinah just disappeared without a trace. I hired some personal detective to find her but he came up empty handed as well.

It's been a week since Y/N left and every single thing I do reminds me of her. She's become the pin in my heart that is always there and keeps reminding me of its presence.

Right now it's around midnight and I am walking home from the convenience store near the apartment.

I bought some ice cream and start walking home when I walk across a flower shop and unconsciously my thoughts drifted to Y/N.

FLASHBACK
I am nervous as well she hasn't said a word since she's seen all the decorations around her house.

I take the flower bouquet out from behind the couch and kneel down behind her waiting for her to turn around.

"What is this tae?" she says about to cry before turning around and gasping. Shit did she not like it? Okay it's now or never calm down.

"There are 42 lilies to show the 42 days we've known each other and there are 168 roses to show evey hour of those 42 days that mattered. I know it's fast and it's sudden but you have absolutely bewitched me and there is not a single second in which I am not thinking of you. You've made it impissible for me to focus on anything but you. In the last 42 days you have slowly and completely taken over my life. I was aware of the change in my feelings but this past week with the possibility that I might lose you to someone else I realized that I had to tell you Y/N because I...I love you and I don't think I can ever luve without you. Today I really wanted the stars and flowers that you love so much to witness as I kept my heart at your feet Y/N . Would you do be the greatest honoyr of becoming my wi-girlfriend and taking me out of my misery?"
Good work tae you almost said wife and scared her off you idiot. I mentally face palm myself.

I realized that she just stands there frozen and doesn't say a word. I grow nervous by the second.

"Umm...Y/N...my knees are starting to hurt..but take your time. I'll wait all night if I have to." I smile nervously.

She buffs a beautiful little laugh as tears stream down her face and it breaks my heart to see her cry.

I am suddenly tackled to the ground with all her body weight as she jumps on me and hugs me. Then she says the word's I've been dying to hear all day today.

FLASHBACK END.
I am snapped back to reality by a blowing horn as I watch a car approach me at high speed and I freeze.

A sudden jerk pulls me out of harm's way as I land on the side path with a thud. My fall is cushioned by something or should I say someone.

"Ouch...are you dumb? Can't you see where you're going?" a familiar voice screams at me.

I look up to see Jinah and frown.

"What are you doing here?" I ask with venom in my voice.

"Woah woah. Calm down tiger. I don't know what that old man was thinking but if you're both like this it was obviously wrong choice to separate your two. You'll end up dead in no time." she says standing up and dusting her pants.

She offers me her hand I take it and stand up more confused than ever.

"What do you mean? What old man?" I ask her.

"Who else? Your little girlfriend's father." she shrugs.

"What?!" I scream as Y/N's brother's warning resounds in my head and I realized how badly we messed up.

"Geez. Stop talking so loud hulk. I came back to tell you the truth because guilt wouldn't let me live otherwise." she sighs as she walks towards the park making me follow her.

"Talk." I say.

"Gee how polite." she smirks with sarcasm dripping from her voice before she sits down on the park bench and I sit on another one beside her.

"So let's start from the beginning. It's true that I used to bully Jungeun and I hated how she flaunted her brother's success but I had never hated her or wished her death. When she died all I could feel was guilt. Especially the day her brother came to class and broke down after sitting on her desk. I couldn't take it anymore so I ran. I ran to America. I met Y/N's father there. When I met him he was standing in a park just watching as a little girl and a teenage boy playing hand in hand. I saw longing and guilt in his eyes. He looked so domineering but his eyes showed pain. I ignored him ofcourse. Few days after that I went to have my student loans approved and instead they offered me a program in which all my living finances will be financed by a company. Hell the company even offered work to the girls under that program. Try guessing the program's name?" she looked at me and I gave her a confused look.

"No? I'll tell you. It was called Y/N heart. So, I took it. I had only half an year of school left anyway and I was getting all my living expenses for free and a job right out of school. So, I studied and went to work at the infamous Lee enterprises. I was assigned as helping temporary assistant to Mr.Lee since his assistant was resigning." she sighs and she looks up as if recalling the past and continues talking again.
