DESTINY (taehyung ff)

Forever.

Y/N POV.

"Did you lose your eyesight with age dad? Look at the date. The ticket is for tomorrow." I say blankly not in the mood for jokes.

All I can think of is taehyung and returning to him to Korea. To my family.

I am so lost in my thoughts that I don't notice my dad waving the ticket in front of my face.

"Are you sure it's not you who isn't reading the date right dear?" he says mockingly.

I look at him confused and then look to the ticket and my eyes widen.

FML.
8th July.

It's a flight for today.

"Wh-what? How?" I say trying to process everything.

"You may be able to make it if I drive you there. How about I clear your doubts in the car." he says.

We rush around the apartment and pack everything. We then rush to his car.

As soon as we hit the road he starts taking.

"I may or may not have called up an old friend that goes by the name of Bang Ji young...." he says as he smiles sheepishly at me.

"You're friends with Mrs. Bang?" I question him completely surprised.

"Well not if you put it like that. She was your mother's bestie and her bridesmaid for the wedding. After your mom's death I lost touch with her.
A few weeks ago I found out she was the same Jiyoung that threatened me to keep your mother happy on our wedding day when I saw her picture with you and some more people on taehyung's phone's wallpaper." he says smiling.

We arrive at the airport.

"He was on the flight right before yours so I am sure you'll be able to find him at the airport." dad says kissing my forhead.

"Go find your forever baby. I love you." dad says pushing me playfully towards the airport entrance.

I turn around and hug him.
"I love you too papa." I whisper as old memories come back and tears fill our eyes as my father recognizes my old term of endearment towards him.

I let go of him and rush into the airport.

I am done boarding the flight and take my seat. This is gonna be a long flight.
Wait for me tae. I'll never let you go after this.

Taehyung POV

I sit in the flight completely broken and tears flowing down my eyes. Thank god to business class. Paparazzi pictures are the last thing I want to deal with right now.

After all that I did. After all that effort I still failed to meet Y/N. I still failed my destiny.

~FEW HOURS LATER~

The flight lands. I exit the flight and reach the baggage counter and security check. I look up at the monitor screen to check my baggage belt number when something catches my eye.

There are two flights listed from America to Korea in just a 25 minutes time gap. I look at my watch and it's been 30 min since I landed so I belong to the first flight.

I am about to walk away when my phone busses. I look at the text .

Y/N's dad.

I open the text and read.

"If you were all slow and passive through the security check then she's right behind you. Go have her my boy. 😉
