Peter paced back and forth in his room, not even out of his suit. He had to think of something, quick. How can he find her, where would they have gone? If Mr Stark was in town, he could help in some way, like tell him the energy readings across the city to find potential hot spots. But he was busy doing avenger work on the other side of the planet, leaving Peter to babysit everyone in New York on his own. May poked her head around the corner into his room, seeing him in a state of worry. "Pete? What's wrong?" She queried. "It's Emily, she found the samurai guys and they took her, I don't know where they went," He said, whipping his mask off, displaying the distress on his face. "Okay, honey, let's think," she sat down on his desk chair and propped her knee up. A few seconds of silence passed before she jolted upright in her seat. "The Police!" She yelled. "Seriously?" Peter replied, "I might as well be the police!" He sounded disgruntled. "No! I mean they can get the CCTV footage of the bank robberies, right? Maybe you could watch them and see how they disappeared from the scene?" The almost posed the suggestion as a question as if it wasn't something she was sure could be done. "May! You're a genius!" He ran up and squeezed her, knowing this lead would be the best they could get so far. He ran to his window, hastily climbing out of it, getting ready to jump off the fire escape. "Hey, Hero?" May called. Peter quickly turned his head to look. "Forgot this!" she laughed as she threw his mask to him. Peter just responded with a wink before slipping his mask back on and jumping away into the night.

After finding a good spot to perch, he radioed into Yuri. "Hey Yuri, I need to see CCTV from one of the bank robberies. It could lead us to the victim," He made sure he still sounded firm in his turn, and assertive enough to avoid any questions asked. "I don't see how, but it's not a bad shout..." She replied. "I'll send you the coordinates of where we are, I have the tapes right here," Within seconds, the coordinates uploaded to Peter's mask console, and he swung right their way. As he approached, he got a radio from Yuri again. "Spiderman, I've watched the tapes and I have to warn you, they aren't pretty..." She warned. He landed right at their front entrance before running inside. "I don't care, I need to see them!" He ran towards her office and opened the door. She was sat there with the lights off and the footage paused on her monitor. "Don't say I didn't warn you," She replied. he walked up behind her, looking over her shoulder. The tape continued to play.

Immediately he could see Emily's mother sat to the left of the screen, with a man next to her. The man looked so familiar but he could not put his finger on why. The more he looked at the scene, the more men he noticed, not wearing their masks but clearly wearing some sort of armour under their uniforms, so to not draw immediate attention. "Zoom in on those guys there," He said pointing to where Emily's mother was sat. There was another man standing beside her, looking as if he was standing guard for any danger around them. Very suddenly, the man's colouring changed, as if his colours had inverted. Peter now realised why he looked so familiar, he was clearly the man from the warehouse. He grabbed the woman's arm, and the colours seem to be infecting her appearance too. the paleness of her skin quickly turned to black, and the black bracelet she had on turned to white. She looked as though she yelled something before punching the fire alarm on the wall behind them, grabbing a gun for the guards holster next to her, and holding the gun up against her head.

Peter flinched backwards, and Yuri paused the video. "I did warn you..." she said with remorse. He was silent for a second, trying to suppress any emotion from showing through his voice and body language, allowing him to compose himself. "Keep playing it," He said quietly. Her limp body fell to the ground as screams could be heard in the bank. the inverted man hopped out of his seat, looking distressed. He waved his arm in the air, clearly some sort of indication for his guards to carry on with the robbery. A hand full of them ran to the back, where the offices were, and another spread out across the crowd to keep them sat still and quiet. The inverted man then went back to his original appearance behind the crowd before kneeling down with them to look like a hostage. "Okay fast forward a bit, to when I get there," Peter demanded. Yuri hit the button down on the keyboard, and the tape whizzed through by a couple of minutes, releasing when the red hero was in the frame. A minute or so of punches thrown and bullets dodged, the gang decided to call it quits. "Here, slow it down a bit," he pointed at the screen again. "Yuri obliged. Frame by frame showed a man pulling the smoke grande for his pocket and throwing it at the ground. An energy pulse could be seen, similar to the aesthetic of the inverted man. First appearing like a dark void, then the white flashed through, with smoke engulfing the men as the turned to dash into the second. Even though it was only shown for half a second, Peter knew that this must have meant something.

"Okay I have an idea," Peter seemed confident. "Can you have your tech guys isolate the sounds of the video, see if that can unpick the conversation they were having at the start,"

"How will that help us find the victim?" Yuri seemed confused.

"It may or may not, but it is bound to tell us what their goal is," He scratched the back of his head. "You're not going to like my other request," Yuri sighed and swung her chair around to face him as he turned the lights back on. "What is it..?" She sounded unsure. "We need to wait for another robbery, but I need to let them escape," Her furrowed his brows at Yuri's confused reaction. "Let them go?!" she shouted. "Yeah, did you not see the energy pulse? I could set up a drone above the city to read the area for any other pulses to match, that might take me to them," Yuri nodded at the idea. She still didn't seem confident, but it was better than nothing. "Okay, but you're going to radio me and send me location details as soon as you see ANYTHING, you understand?" She retaliated with a stern look on her face. Peter nodded and stuck his hand out. "You have a deal, captain," She took it and shook it firmly, looking him dead in the mask. "You know the victim don't you..?" Her expression loosened. Peter didn't answer, he just shook her hand once more and made his way out of the office to get home.

As he was swinging back to his apartment block, he had an idea. He pulled out his phone and selected Ned's name. "Hey man, listen, I need your help," He started. "I've got a project and I need your help. Well, Spiderman needs your help," All he could hear was Ned's giddy excitement on the other end of the line, praising that he can help be a hero for once. Getting a chuckle out of Peter.
