"Paul oh my- Oh my God! What were you doing?..." The man cried into his shoulder. "Y-You almost got yourself killed!"
Paul just sobbed harder, not listening to the voice. He was too distraught to care.
"I want... I want John!" He cried, still staring at the ground even though the man's arms were wrapped tightly around him.
"Paul... Look at me." Paul shook his head, tears flying everywhere. "Please..."
With a shaky breath, Paul turned around, seeing a man with short grey hair and wearing a leather jacket. He looked old, but not too old.
He looked like John.
"No..." He shook his head, screwing his eyes shut. "You're not-"
"I am, Macca... It's me." John replied, voice shallow, hugging Paul tighter.
"B-But..." Paul sobbed. "You were next to me... T-Ten minutes ago!"
"I know... I know I was." John replied in a sad tone, letting Paul cry.
Both knew they couldn't stay in the middle of the road for any longer, people were crowding around. John pulled away from Paul slightly, but Paul pulled him closer again.
"Macca... We have to get out of the road." He whispered into his soft curls. "Now."
Paul just let John pick him up and carry him back to the car. He placed the hysterical boy in the back seat, and slid in next to him. He did both of their seat belts, before leaning Paul's head onto his shoulder and telling the driver to move.
It took Paul a while to calm down, and John too. The boy had just ran into the middle of the road, in hopes of getting ran over. He almost killed himself, on purpose. Once he'd stopped sobbing, he pulled John as close as he could in the back of the black Range Rover.
"What... What happened?" Paul sniffled, looking straight forward. With a sad sigh, John began to run a hand through his hair.
"You went back, Macca. On that day in Strawberry Fields... I woke up alone."

The snow continued to fall, only this time it felt heavier. It woke John up, that's for sure. One of the boys arms was stretched to the side, the other flat on his stomach.
He slowly opened his eyes, moving his arm so he could sit himself up. The ground was covered in snow, and John was freezing cold.
But something was off.
He was alone.
"Paul?" John quietly shouted. But there was no response. The boy moved a hand to his pocket and grabbed his glasses. Not that they changed anything. "Macca...?"
No response.
Panic began to rush through John. His nerves began to dance around, and his stomach was filled with an uncomfortable feeling.
Paul wasn't there.
"Paulie?" He pushed himself onto his two feet, beginning to tread through the thin layer of white snow that had coated the ground. Snowflakes continued to land in his hair, but he wasn't bothered. "Macca?!" His shouts turned into desperate calls.
"Paul, this isn't funny. Where are you?" He shouted, even though he was basically shouting to thin air. And even though deep down he knew it himself, he refused to believe it. "Macca!"
John wasn't sure weather they were tears or melted snowflakes running down his face at this point. The sky was almost dark, but John kept looking. He searched behind ever tree, calling Paul's name in a desperate tone.
