Because of my throat injury I spent all of my third grade year in a breathing tube. Those times were ruff, but children that age hadn't understood what happened to me , so i don't blame them for making fun of me or staring when they saw me. i was almost always in the hospital, But life got better once i got off the tube. I got to go home and be normal again. The case was silent for 2 years. But i remember one day my mother and I were looking through the newspaper, when i flipped to the obituaries and i saw a face that looked quite familiar. I told my mother that this looks just like the man who assaulted me. She quickly called the police station and tolled them about it. The officers told me and my mother that the man in the newspaper had died in a inmate fight and that they had already buried the body. Again the case has gained zero information.
eighteen years later the police station had gotten a report of a women 27 year old women who had been raped and almost killed by a man who offered to take her for a drive away from a club. After he raped her he forced her head under water in a near by lake. Before the woman had drowned he pulled her back to the surface, cleaned her up , and left her there. The woman had described him as a white male in his late twenties or late thirties, with dark hair and a mustache. The officers quickly compared the assault to mine , since they happened in the same state and were quite similar. Sure enough the police confirmed the man as being Dennis Bradford, The same man who assaulted me.
This story frightened and shocked the town, because this man had been loose and free for eighteen long years. The man could have assaulted any person who lived in that town, but some how he managed to stay clear of any suspicion for years. The police did a search for this man for years and caught nothing linked to this man. All I could think of is how he could such a thing.
