- Dad, I can't come home, I'm so sorry, I just can't. give me a few days. I'll be back, I promise. I'll be fine, please don't worry. look after yourself Daddy, I love you. -

I look up from my phone, a teardrop splashing on the screen.

"are you sure this is okay Luke?"

he looks at me.

"obviously it's okay. nobody will mind. you kind of have to stay here." he says, before pulling me into a hug.

I'd decided not to go home. I couldn't face it. I couldn't face the shame and anger and I couldn't face my dad. Luke offered for me to stay at his house, and I gladly accepted. except I'm a bit worried about his mum. I don't want to cause problems.

I hear a door slam. looks like I'm about to find out. I pull away from Luke. a woman appears in the doorway. she's completely gorgeous, like woah MILF. she walks in, takes one glance at my wrecked self, drops her bags, and pulls me into a tight hug. I cry onto her shoulder and she coos, stroking my hair. when I pull away she wipes my tears and rests her hands on my shoulders.

"are you okay, sweetie?" I weakly smile. "better now."

she smiles warmly at me.

"thank you so much for that.. Mrs. Brooks. you have no idea how much it helped." I say. she shakes her head softly. "any time, any time. I can't stand to see a gorgeous girl like you so upset. and call me Gina, please." I nod, smiling. "I'm Jess."

"pretty name for a pretty girl. is that your full name?" I shake my head.

"my name's actually Jessamyn Reid." I say, wondering if Luke even knew my full name.

Luke explained to Gina our, uh, 'situation' and she gladly offered me a place in the Brooks' household. I love her! she's so sweet.

me and Luke snuggle up on the couch, watching Toy Story 3. Luke is trying to point out all the 'dirty' bits, and I am refusing to let him RUIN MY CHILDHOOD. my god, the nerve. Jai wanders in, completely focused on his phone. I start to sing loudly.

"hey, Jaaaaiiiii, hey Jaaaiiiiii, how you doin' Jai, who you textin' Jai, oh Jaaaaiiiiii why aren't you answering me Jaaiiii."

he looks up and jumps on me.

"JESS! I missed you so much. Beau is going to be so excited that you're back!" I hug him tightly. "I MISSED YOU TOO VA-JAI-JAI! and.. what?" he laughs and goes back to his phone. oh, 10 seconds for mwah, and then back to his phone. poof I'll show him. or I could just stay here. yeeeaaaahhhhh. "seriously, Jai-baby, who is this that's got all your attention? your girlfraaaaaaannnddd?" Luke suddenly gasps, holding his hands up. "OMG, you haven't heard?" he says in a girly voice. Jai groans.

"OMG, nah." I reply. "WHAT WHAT IS IT WHAT?"

"well.." Luke says, twirling his hair. "JAI'S GOT A GIRLFRIEND!" I gasp. "My Jai-baby! No way-"

"YAH AND SHE'S NOT JUST A GIRLFRIEND, SHE'S-"

"omg Jai, a booty call, really?"

"ARIANA GRANDE."

"WAIT. WHAT? ARIANA GRANDE? I FUCKING LOVE HER!"

"Omg same!" Jai squeals.
