I swing my legs out of bed and look at the calendar. 28th of November. I close my eyes and take a deep breath, reminding myself to keep calm. today will be one of the worst.

"Yo, Jess!" I hear my Dad call out to me from downstairs. I giggle. how sad, that moment when your dad says "yo."

"yo, Dad!" I call back.

"i'm just leaving to get some groceries for dinner tonight, the Everly's will be here in an hour!"

"sure, see you soon! love you!"

"love you too, look after yourself hun."

oh daddy. how I love thee.

I hop in the shower and wash then dry my hair. when I get out I slip on a tight maroon dress and a big dark blue knitted cardi. I sweep my dark curly hair to one side and apply a little mascara, eyeliner, and lipgloss. I don't like foundation and I only wear powder, if I feel like it. when I'm finished getting ready I get out my laptop and log onto Facebook, laying on my stomach on my bed.

I open a chat with Cece.

"hey babe, I've been trying to call you, how are you?"

she replies quickly.

"JESSSSSSS, I'm still in hospital they won't let me out till tomorrow :( but I'm fine, how are you?"

"hahaha! I snuck out ;) I'll come keep you company tomorrow I can't today :( I'm good! but I miss you"

"I knowww haven't seen you in like 5 days agh has this ever happened? HAHA dude I don't even know if you are joking about sneaking out, but knowing you, you probably did, heheheh. YES COME TOMORROW PLEASE OMG XOXOOXXOXOX"

".. I'm not joking, ask my dad."

"k one sec."

"it's all true, be prepared!"

after about 5 minutes she replies.

"lol. so I called your dad..

me: hey Graham.

your dad: oh, hey Cece, how are you?

me: good, chilling in hospital. I'm actually talking to your daughter

your dad: oh, how lovely send her my love

me: okay Graham

me: so did Jess sneak out of hospital

your dad: that's what happened. wait, that's bad, isn't it?

me: probably.

your dad: well as soon as I got there she was going to come home with me anyway so it doesn't really make any difference

me: oh

me: you are a great father Graham, on behalf of Jess I'd like to thank you for being so great

your dad: why thankyou Cece, I must say I think you provide Jess with a lovely best friend. thank you.

me: I like to think so, anyway that is all, I should be getting back to your daughter and myselfs lovely conversation. thank you for your time

your dad: bye Cece

me: bye

xo"

"also, <3 from your dad."

me:"HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA best thing I have ever read :') oh Cece, oh father. xoxoxox ily"

at that point I hear dad come home. I send Cece a last message and walk downstairs, slipping on some dark blue wedges.
