I walk back inside with a sigh. Luke stands up to greet me.

"hey there hot stuff." he grins.

I groan. "hello cold stuff."

he smirks. "lame."

I laugh.

"I know I know, not my best work."

he smiles and leans down. our lips are nearly touching when I pull away, raking my hand

through my hair.

"ah, I can't."

"why not? did I do something? what happened? I'm sorry." he says. I giggle at his concerned state.

"no... no you didn't do anything! I laugh, grabbing his hand and sighing. "I just.. I'm not sure.. I'm

sorry- I'm really nervous.. I mean- you don't know.. I can't just.. sorry I'm making no sense but- I don't-"

"Jess." he interrupts. "What's wro-"

"where do we stand?" I blurt out.

"cause I don't know what.. is happening but.. I don't know," I say, lost.

he grabs my waist and pulls me towards him. I stare down, at my feet.

"Jess. I like you." I tilt my face up to meet his in shock.

and so we kiss.

"CECE MY HOME GURL!"

"ok where is he is he totally hot?"

I hear a throat being cleared behind us.

I turn around to all the boys.

I hear a car pull up behind us and turn around to see Lydia running towards us.
