Once upon a time I could almost swear
You looked upon me with a puppy face,
Your cheeks puckered pinkish with blush and care
While you snuggled to my chest in embrace.
I felt you never wanted to let go,
Your head pressed so long against my body.
We waited forever 'ere tomorrow
Not looking back, nor forward, any worry.
It was a moment almost too perfect
And I thought for sure it could never end,
But there was one thing we could not predict
The night that I will never comprehend,
When I found out everything was a dream
Stop't when you woke up to a breathless scream.

Sonnets
PoetryThese are some sonnets that I've written. Some are English (Shakespearean Sonnets), some are Italian Sonnets, and some are modified. They all have 14 lines, ten syllables in each line and hopefully a near iambic pentameter.
