Chapter 22. Grandfather

It took about a minute, as a man in his forties arrived and came to the entrance. He was dressed in fine robes which were a lot more valuable than Leo's robe. This slightly worried Leo as the man was radiating energy over the level of an emission realm expert.

"Clan head!" said the guards in unison as they clasped hands and bowed to him.

"What is going on here? You rang the alarm. There are only these three little children here," asked the Clan head in confusion.

"Clan head, these kids came to the entrance seeking the grand elder. They even gave us a fake badge. We wanted to kick them out but they opposed us and that boy started radiating a hostile aura that completely immobilized all of us."

"How is that possible. You guys are at gathering realm. How can a child who hasn't started cultivation pose a threat to you people."

"So you are the clan head?" Leo interrupted with a question.

"Yes," replied the clan head.

"Can I ask what is your relation to the grand elder?"

"He is my father's brother," replied the clan head as he cautiously answered.

Phew, Leo breathed a sigh of relief as he spoke "I am here to meet the grand elder. Here is my badge."

The clan head took the badge and after seeing the arrow on the back, he had indeed confirmed that this was indeed a real badge but it had left him in massive shock.

This badge. Impossible. How can he have it? This is the personal badge of the grand elder.

"Little boy, how do you have this?" asked the clan head as he suddenly became alert of the situation.

"I got it from my mom. She gave me this badge. She said that if I infuse a drop of my blood on the badge then it should point the arrow towards the Decan clan. She told me that I should be able to meet grand elder with this," replied Leo.

"Your mother!? What? Boy, quickly tell me what was your mother's name?" asked the clan head as his breathing and tone of voice became panicked.

"Ava"

"There's no time to lose. Follow me, my nephew. Let me take you to the grand elder," said the clan head as he excitedly walked to them and took their hand.

Meanwhile, the guards were flabbergasted, they were filled with fear and anger as they started arguing among themselves.

"Nephew! He called him, nephew!"

"We're dead for sure."

"If you stupid idiot had not stepped on the badge then we probably could've survived"

......

The clan head took Leo, Aurora, and Lex to an area filled with grass and a beautiful large pond. And in the middle of the large pond was an island with a simple two-floor house built on top connected by a large bridge. The clan head took them there and opened the door and sat the trio on the simple comfortable couch.

As they sat, a voice suddenly angrily sounded " Aron! Have you never learned to knock on the door? This is the fifth time."

"Uncle Andy, I didn't mean to this time. I have important news for you."

"Haha. Don't bother. I have no intention of going outside of this clan for a while."

"No, please come down. I have brought something that belongs to you."

Step, step.

An old man around his eighties came down from the old wooden stairs. Seeing him, Leo was shocked as this man radiated energy so strong that the current Leo would not be able to defeat him.
