Chapter 37. Lex's fight I

*step* *step*

A small ten-year old boy walked out patting the dust off his clothes.

"Did you guys have to attack the walls? You made my clothes dirty. I fell quite a distance you know," the boy spoke in a slightly annoyed manner.

He looked around at the scene in front of him and then his eyes fell on Laura, he commented, "my goodness, beautiful lady, you are very badly hurt. Your internal organs have been injured and your hand is crippled. That fight was so cool though!"

Drexler gave him an angry deathly glare and turned back to Laura and slowly began to walk towards her.

"Hey! Arrogant guy with funny glasses! You need to explain something to me," the boy spoke as he started moving towards Laura as well.

Drexler still ignored him and still walked towards Laura.

Seeing that he was ignored, the boy ran towards Laura and arrived next to her before Drexler could. He sat down next to her and took out a yellow liquid from his pocket and spoke to her, "Hey hey! Rest up. You fought well. I saw your determination. Here drink this, it should heal you up."

Laura did not trust this child but in her current situation, she had no strength to move as the boy opened the lid of the small cylinder bottle and fed her the yellow liquid. Immediately as she drank it, she found that it was delicious. It tasted like honey and a few seconds later she slowly felt her body slowly heal as her cuts and burns slowly healed.

Upon witnessing the effect of the yellow liquid, the crowd went absolutely bonkers!

"My goodness! DId you see that?!"

"Her injuries are healing up at that instant!"

"What kind of godly potion is that?It must be made by at least a stage four doctor!"

"You! Who are you? How dare you heal her! She is not worth wasting such a powerful potion over!" Drexler spoke in anger as he finally looked at the boy.

"Hehe, she was injured and I was impressed by her fighting will. Plus it's my choice to choose whoever I feed it to," the boy replied mockingly.

"You!" Drexler was speechless in anger.

"Haha! You little boy, now you have made me angry. Just because you are a child doesn't mean I'm going to take it easier on you."

"You are going to fight me? Yes! Please! Finally, I thought I was going to have to ask you but it seems like that won't be necessary," the boy started jumping out of happiness and gave Drexler a big happy smile as he cried joyfully.

Meanwhile, the sect members that were watching were completely dumbfounded. Firstly, they were amazed that this little boy had the courage to publicly speak out at the two who were fighting. These were core disciples we are talking about! Not just any sect disciple! They would become a pillar of support of the sect in the future and yet a little ten-year old boy decided to publicly talk against them.

Along with that, when they saw the medical powers of the liquid that he fed Laura, they were completely amazed. Medicine of that quality was very rare and could only be afforded by people with status.

And finally, his reaction to Drexler's threat has destroyed their remaining sanity. Drexler was the second strongest disciple in the sect and this kid who was only ten did not even look threatened. Is this kid ok? What is going through his head right now?

"Who are you?" Drexler asked in confusion as he observed the boy.

"Oh... My name is Lex Areia. I am ten-years old and I'm from Mino village and I'm not a member of this sect," the boy announced his identity.

"What!?" the crowd got even more shocked.

"You are not a member of this sect? How did you get in?" Drexler asked in confusion.

"Oh. I came in to get the reward for the girl that you wanted. I have brought her here but I think I'd rather keep her with me for now. Judging from your personality, you don't seem like a nice guy," Lex replied.

"You a mere commoner? Is talking crap about me?" Drexler coldly spoke in anger.

"Enough talk let's fight," Lex suddenly interrupted him.

Lex suddenly took a stance and started slowly radiating his gathering realm energy. He took a step forward and suddenly, he disappeared.

Drexler immediately went on alert as he looked around but no matter how much he looked, he could not find Lex.

"Right behind you," Lex's cold voice sounded next to his ear.

Drexler immediately felt a tingle of fear in his spine and tried to run around but he was met with Lex's fist landing right on his face and sending him dozens of meters away on the other end of the arena.

Silence once again filled the crowd.

Amazing! Unbelievable!

This was a ten year old kid who was at gathering realm and he managed to beat a fifteen year old who was at condensing realm.

Where did this kid come from? How could he be this strong? He sent a condensing realm expert flying in one hit.

"Oh... I didn't think that I would get such a clean hit on you that easily," Lex's disappointed voice spoke, "hey hey, get up. Now you should be more ready for it."

"You little!," Drexler's enraged voice shouted from the other end of the arena.

"How dare you attack me in such a shameless way!"

"Um, well... If I didn't attack you first then you probably wouldn't take me seriously," Lex spoke innocently while scratching his head.

"Take this!" Drexler shouted as a golden lion formed.

Golden Lions kick!

Lex immediately stopped talking and started circulating his energy. A vague outline of a black widow spider formed right behind him and it began to radiate an overwhelming oppressive energy.

Widow's oppression fist!

Boom!

A huge explosion occurred in the arena. As a multitude of monstrous shockwaves were radiated as a black energy seemed to swallow a golden yellow energy.

The arena walls began to crumble and even it's outer walls showed a large crack and some parts began to crumble as another large dust cloud that was five times the size of the previous one formed.

Silence... For a whole minute, all that was heard was the sound of people coughing and walls crumbling. After that initial explosion, there were no additional shockwaves and everyone in the crowd knew what this meant. It meant that someone had won the battle in one exchange.

They were waiting for the whole dust cloud to dissipate to determine the winner but suddenly a huge shoosh sounded as all the dust began to get swept upwards and disappeared into the sky.
