A banquet party happened after the King's early arrival. I didn't want to attend, not after that cunning little smirk he gave me right after I introduced my name to him. Scenting him every single second if he was up to something or not, the King's smell wasn't that sly to even assume that he has something up in his sleeves for us witches.

At that moment, he looked like his first son, Prince Cayden. The mischievousness in their eyes that could deceive you in so many ways, oh, I am so glad that the second prince didn't inherit it. Maybe Prince Caleb's gentleness is from his mother--- or not. We do not know. I've never seen their mother nor heard about her whereabouts.

"You should stop eating sweets"

I'am currently getting another platter for my sweets cause I didn't like the cooked foods here.

"Alam mo ba ang sakit na diabetes?"

Sage, up-close looks so good in his dark grey royal clothes. With his hair neatly swayed to one side, his blue eyes glitter whenever it hits the lights from above. He could pass to be a royal blood. Pwedeng pinsan ng mga prinsipe. And I am here, still in my pastel pink tulle fabric gown. It made me look like a lost princess, and I hate it.

The other witches are having their share of fun. Most of them are now dancing with a partner I'd bet they would be sucking blood from after the banquet. Pandora is one of them, dancing with a young handsome sentinel who wasn't stationed to guard.

Our long table was near to the King's high table kung saan makikita mo dito ang mga anak nito at ang kanyang korte. I can smell his growing impatience at their table na para bang gustong gusto na niyang umalis roon.

Well, he can't. Kasi mukhang may pinag-uusapan silang importante.

"We don't get diseases. Hindi mo ba 'yon alam?" walang bahid na emosyon kong tanong kay Sage sabay kagat sa panibago kong kinuhang tart.

"Not even one?" He asked, not even sounding interested. He only drinks from his own glass of wine before giving me a blank look. "You're ruining your lipstick from eating too much"

I scoffed at him. "The only thing we're getting as close to a disease or sickness is the struggle of having a baby and giving birth to it" Hinarap ko na siya sabay tinaasan ko siya ng isang kilay. "I hate make up. I already have natural red lips, so bakit ko pa kailangan magsuot ng kolerete sa mukha, ha?"

Sage side-eyes me, "I've heard most witches give birth to a stillborn?"

Good for him to know that. "Yes" simpleng sagot ko sakanya sabay kagat uli sa tart ko.

"And male babies are being.." he trailed off like he doesn't want to say it, but did it anyways. "Killed. Witches really do that?"

"Black witches" I corrected. "We maintain our honorable image to the Triple Goddess by only giving birth to a female, not a male. For the White witches, hindi ko alam" I shrugged.

"Nagpapabuntis kayo sa hindi niyo kalahi?"

Ngumisi ako ng bahagya sa sinabi niya, "Nagpapabuntis kami," Kinuha ko ang wine ko, "Sa mga mortal" sabi ko sabay simsim sa aking inumin ng hindi tinatanggal ang tingin ko sakanya.

His icy blue orbs glinted in amusement. "Because mortal blood is not that strong, so the baby will inherit most of the witch's genes"
