Ruby's P.O.V:

As I walk down to the water, I see a lot of people in the corner in a rip. I only knew about them because I watched the Lifeguards 24/7. I run down to the water and nobody is there. I grab a board and run into the water. Everything slowed down and I think, this may be a good first impression, as I get there 20+ people are on the board.

"Hang on!" I call over the crashing waves on the rocks. I start to paddle, making headway. Two minutes since I started paddling, I want the lifeguards to come and help. I look over and they are all in the water. This is all on me, I say in my head and paddle my hardest. I catch a wave and float in.

"Woah," came a voice from behind me. "You're not too bad," I turn around to see a lifeguard with brown hair and tattoos all over himself. I had never taken much notice into what their names were, I just knew Hoppo.

"Uhh, Thanks?" I replied, not knowing what to say.

"Come with me he says, grabbing my arm before I can do or say anything else. "So, what's your name and how old are you?" He asked with much curiosity, as we got into a sand buggy.

"My names Ruby, and I'm 15." I say. My blond hair going everywhere as we speed up the hill towards the tower.

"Seriously?" he says as we screech to a stop in front of the tower.

"Yeah," I say. "What's your name?" I ask.

"Oh, sorry, for being so rude," he apologizes. "I'm Jesse."

"It's fine," I utter. As the sand buggy stops, Jesse gets out and leads me up the stairs and into the tower where I am greeted by two male lifeguards. One with Blond hair and one who was very neat with brown hair.

"Whippet, Harries this is Ruby, the person that did that mass rescue all on her own," he says, half over reacting. They smile and I blush. What do they think of me? I wondered, do they hate me because I did their job? They opened their mouth to speak and I wince.
