Chapter 5: Hospital

Troy's P.O.V:

I was about to congratulate Ruby for beating me when she shivered and fell into my arms. Everyone ran up to us. 

"Ruby? RUBY!?" I tried to wake her up. Harrison checked her pulse and looked up at me.

"Get an ambulance, there's no pulse!" Jesse grabbed his phone and ran outside.

"Ruby!" All I wanted is for her to wake up. Harrison looked at me and I looked at him holding back tears.

"Hi!" came a voice from behind me, "I'm Sarah, who's this?" she asks.

"Ruby," I say, very worried

"Ok, what happened?" she asked,

"Well," I say, "we were swimming and she got out and she shivered and fell.

"Ok," she says, looking at Harrison, "does she have a pulse?"

"No," he says

"Ok, we are going to take her to the Hospital." I nod, a lump forms in my throat.

"Go," Hoppo's says from behind me, seeing that I'm upset.

"But," I say,

"We can figure something out," he says. I jump up and hug him,

"Thanks mate," I say and get in the Ambulance.

Ruby's P.O.V:

I wake up in a white room all alone. There was nobody there so I felt really lonely. I was about to get up when the door opened.

"Ruby!" It was Troy. "A-are you ok?" He asks, clearly shaken up.

"Troy?" I say, "where am I?"

"In the Hospital," he says, "I'll get a doctor." so he left the room. I really wanted to get up but I couldn't. I had to stay in bed.

"Hi Ruby!" a doctor said, "I'm Doctor Raymond, you gave us a very big scare yesterday." Yesterday? How long was I asleep for? 

"We have found out that you had Hypothermia, very badly." The doctor said. "But you are ok to be discharged today." he said calmly. Troy smiles at me. Then it hit me.

"The test!"

"Has been held off until you are right to get out of the Hospital." Troy cut in. I smiled as he continued, "Hoppo really likes your fitness so you will probably get in anyway." I calmed down and the doctor left. "I'm also not letting you stay out on the street." he smiled.

"Oh Troy you don't have to do that," I say.

"But I want to do it," he blushes, "for your safety," I smile and we walk out and go to the tower.

"So how long was I asleep for?" I ask,

"All day!" he chuckles and I blush.

"You didn't have to stay with me,"

"But I did!" he laughs, it starts raining and we run to the tower where my things were. We were racing each other when we get to the tower, laughing.

"Hey boys!" Troy calls, "guess who!"

"Ruby!" Jesse and Harrison calls, relieved. "We were so worried!" he said embracing me in a warm hug. I smile,

"It's the best sleep I've had in years!" I lie. Harrison hugs me too.

"Everyone, this is Ruby!" Troy says, introducing me to the others. "Ruby, this is Chappo, Deano, Maxi and..."

"RUBY!" Whippet screams, bursting through the side door right next to me, embracing me in a huge hug.

"And Whippet," Troy says, slightly annoyed. "Well that's everyone on shift I think?" He questions himself. "Anyway, let's go get you settled in. He walks out and we go to his house.

"I don't want to be rude, but, how old are you?" Troy asks as he opens his door and lets me in.

"15," I say.

"Really? You apparently did a huge mass rescue the other day." He said. "I thought you would have had a little more experience than that!" he says, as we sit down.

I told him all my lies and we laughed for hours until he lead me to the guest bedroom.

"This is where you'll be staying." he said and walked away, giving me some privacy. I had a shower and got dressed into my old clothes, and went to see what Troy was cooking.

As we sat down I ask Troy "That can't actually be their real names? Can it?" he picks up on exactly what I'm trying to say.

"Oh no of course not!" he chuckled, "The guys usually call me Gonzo, or Gonz, anythings really fine.

"We finish eating and I go to bed, another big day. And I'm so into Troy. And now I'm living with me! But I have a feeling in the back of my head. A feeling saying it's not going to last forever, and I'm going to have to tell them.

Troy's P.O.V:

After Ruby goes to bed I wish I told her. If I don't Harrison will. That's what I'm afraid is going to happen.
