Sorry I ended that last chapter a little bit terribly. It was already really long. Hope you're still enjoying reading this fan fic as much as I'm enjoying writing it!
Ruby's P.O.V:
Dream riders are people in my world that look over others dreams in both my realm and this realm. They can do anything from be in the dream, to track the dreamer's location. That's got to be how My mum and dad know where I am. They have a whole team to track down criminals or anyone else. They must have found my dream and tracked my location. This is bad.
"Rhubarb? Rhubarb? Ruby!" I'm interrupted by Kerrbox. "You ok hon?" I just nod. It had been an hour since the incident and I'm now in the tower with Kerrbox and Jesse. The whole service is fuming. Especially Troy.
"Still can't believe that guy had the gut to do such a thing!" Jesse continues on his huge rant that he started this morning. He engulfs me in a huge hug as I start sobbing. Hoppo walks into the tower. Followed by two Police officers.
"Can Ruby come out for a second? You need to give a statement." Box gives me a sympathetic look as I walk out.
"Sir," the Officer says to Hoppo, "we're going to have to ask you to leave now." he nods and walks inside. The officer turns to me. "We're going to need a witness." I nod and grab my radio.
"Hey guys, is Deano free?" His voice comes out of the radio.
Yeah Rubes, why? I press the button and continue.
"The Police are here and they need a statement."
Ok, I'll be right up I smile.
"Now," the Officer says, "Can you please fully name the witness?" I want the ground to swallow me whole. I don't know his full name! Argh! I'm dead! Out of nowhere, my savior arrives.
"Dean Gladstone, Officer...?" He says,
"Chief White." He says.
"Ooohh, right from the top I see." Deano smiles
"This is very serious sir." the person next to him says. "Now, please, Ruby, explain what happened. I look at him weirdly. "I put two and two together, plus the amount of times your name was mentioned." I smile and begin.
"Well, Deano and I were taking it in turns to do rescues and it was my turn to rescue this guy, I got out to him and he didn't grab the board. He started saying that he wanted a 'real Lifeguard" to get him, he was about to drown so I grabbed him and told him I was. He pushed me off the board and started to paddle off. I swam up to him and got on the board. We got to shore and I started to do protocol and ask him questions, he didn't respond, instead he punched my face. I fell back and he kept going. I started crying and he still kept going, only harder. Then another Lifeguard came and grabbed me to clean my nose off. I stood up and he ran after me. He caught me and started to beat me up. I pushed him off me and sat on him until you guys arrived." I finished.
"Ok, thank you, we'll talk to Mr. Gladstone now." I nod and walk inside. I sit down in a huff and grab some binoculars. I don't realize Hoppo, Box and Jesse we're gone. Well, until they jump out of nowhere and scare the daylights out of me. I fall off my chair and decide to get them back. I don't get up or open my eyes. I feel their shadows over me.
"Oh no! What did we do? Troy's gonna kill us!" Jesse panics. It takes all I have to not react when they check vital signs. They start rubbing my sternum and I can't keep holding it in any longer. I start to giggle. "Hey!" Jesse shouts, I open my eyes to see Deano there as well. I laugh harder.
"This was meant to be our prank!" Kerrbox remarks. Deano helps me up.
"Good observation, Box." I laugh. I sit down and watch the water. I sigh, this is why I love these guys.
Ruby's Mother's (Caitlyn) P.O.V:
I can't believe it. My own daughter, running away and not coming back. She will get the consequences that she deserves. She will be Queen, she will rule this world. She's not good enough being Princess. I will ruin her life there. I will give her the worst luck. Then she will come running back to me.
Ruby's P.O.V:
The evening arrives soon after the Police left. Antania arrives just before pack-up. "Tania!" I call, once she knocks on the Tower door, "Come in!" Harrison gives her a hug too. Well we'll just be packing up now. Do you maybe wanna come with us to The Bucket List?" I smile. She nods.
"Sure Ruby!" I nod and grab the radio,
"Tower to everyone on the beach, it's time to pack up." I see everyone grabbing the signs and coming up to the tower. Then something catches my eye. Someone's struggling out at Flat Rock. "Uhh, guys there's someone out on Flat Rock, I'm gonna take a look," I say into the Radio. "You wanna come Tania?" I ask the almost silent girl.
"Yeah, let's go!" She cheers as we walk out of the Tower towards the Teen magnet. Little did we know that this wasn't any ordinary patient.
