23. Different

Forth seemed to be deaf from all the sound inside the room but his mind have clearly understood what have been said about Beam.

Beam looked unconcerned and just casually stared at Forth as if he dont know him personally. His eyes are expressionless and his face doesnt show any emotion towards the tan man.

The person in front of Forth is not the Beam he knew, the gentle Beam, the very understanding Beam, the patient Beam, the warm Beam, the passionate Beam, the cheerful Beam and the very loving Beam.

This Beam is the sole heir of the biggest pharmaceutal company, the MENSA member, the international researcher, the gifted, the president of an international research institute, the future CEO, a surgeon, and the cold and distant member of the panel.

He is a lot diffirent from the Beam who does their laundry and neatly folded their clothes, the Beam who cooked their food and clean their small house, the Beam who take good care of Thad, the Beam who dig dirt and water their plants, the Beam who is passionately making love to him every night, and the Beam who love him and Thad so much.

Ming turned to Forth who is still intently staring at the particular person at the table where all the members of the panel are all seated.

"P'Forth..." Ming hold Forths shoulder to distract him from his deeo thoughts. Forth seemed to wake up and turned to his team. His expression earlier returned to his face.

"Lets start...Remember... I... Want... This.... Project" Forth softly mouth his command with his intent expression.

Ming knew what's going on with Forth but Lam and Park are still clueless although they have started to feel something is amiss with the way they stared at Forth.

Beam and the other members of the panel looked very serious and waiting.

The presentation started with Forth presenting the whole proposal with Lam, Park and Ming discussing their field of expertise.

The panel is so quite while Beam has an intent and unreadable expression while staring at Forth who is confidently doing his presentation.

Beam have pointed out some concerns which Forth have readily explained and supplemented.

The other members of the panel will just constantly nod their heads while Forth expertly presented the flawless plan.

One of the members of the panel have pointed out a somewhat flaw in the plan which Forth have easily rebuked. Forth have expertly corrected the misconception of the man towards their design and articulately explained its purpose and its benefits which earned the approval of the rest of the members of the panel.

Everything went well before Ming stuttered a little during his presentation because of the intent stare from the cute and dimpled doctor, but it earned the attention of the emotionless and cold doctor, Beam Baramee Vongviphan.

"Are you not confident with your work Engr. Khemmonta? Will we be concerned that you might be giving us a mediocre plan?" Beam drily exclaimed with hia cold gaze.

"No...no doctor, the plan has undergone strict standards scrutiny to address and to comply the stringent requirements your company have imposed" Ming gathered and composed himself to confidently explain while looking at the keen eyes of Beam.

Ming havent expected that he will be meeting Beam again in this very uncomfortable and awkward situation unlike the first time they met that its more like of an emotional one. He have even expected that the next time he will meet Beam, it will be a friendly encounter. And this moment is too far from being friendly... Beam is like an ice dragon and at the same time a fire dragon ready to slaughter them anytime.
