Faster Than You

Dr. Onyx, I have analyzed your scans and it seems you are recovering at a faster rate than anticipated. I estimate that you will recover in 10 to 15 minutes instead of 3 to 4 weeks.

"So your saying Kymina is healing faster than Thawne or I?"

That is correct Barry Allen. She is healing 1.8 times faster than you or Prof. Thawne.

"Thank you, Gideon. Kymina exactly how fast are you?"

"I'm at least 2.6 seconds faster than you or the Reverse Flash combined."

"Even without using your time stopping powers?"

"Yep."

"That is incredibly awesome, and I might just have to challenge you to a race when you finally heal."

"Your on, Scarlet Speedster."

"So wait how do we break this to RF?"

We all look at Nash.

"What? It's easier than calling him Thawne or Reverse Flash."

"Do you think you can stand?"

"I can try."

Suddenly Thawne's hologram appeared next to me.

"What are you idiots... wait did you just move your foot?"

I look down to see that I had indeed moved my foot down off the foot rest of the wheelchair.

"She's apparently healing a lot faster than you or I."

"How much faster?"

"According to Gideon, 1.8."

"I'm sorry did you just say 1.8?"

"Yup."

"That and she's apparently faster than you or I without the use of her time stopping abilities. According to her she's 2.6 seconds faster than either of us."

"Well can she stand yet? Can you?"

"That's what we were about to find out when you so rudely interrupted me."

I carefully put my other foot down and stood up.

Suddenly I feel the electricity flicker through my body.

In a blink of an eye I'm standing next to Cisco holding the tablet he was holding seeing schematics for some kind of meta tech.

"Wait, where did she? Oh my gosh!"

Cisco nearly jumps out of his skin seeing me casually standing next to him.

"Well that answers the question whether you can tap into your speed or not. You should really be careful, Kymina. You still don't know what your limit is with your speed healing."

Barry and others look slightly concerned.

"I'm kinda famished and I could really go for a large pizza right now."

Barry took me aside and muttered,

"How about you, Cisco, and Nash run some tests on your speed. See how fast you currently are?"

"Sure, but is it safe for you to be left alone with Thawne? You know how easily he can get under people's skins. I'm just worried you'll end up saying something that'll come back to bite you, or all of us, in the ass."

"I'll be fine, Kymina."

"Okay. Alright come on you two, let's see how fast I can really go."

With that Cisco, Nash, and I head down to the speed lab.

Speed Lab

"Alright, let's see what you can do."

I dart through and up into the running track, unaware that for a nanosecond, time had stopped.

"Whoa, you really are fast."

I hear Cisco say over the coms.

I run until I feel my body start to shake, peeling out of the track and quickly start to give myself my medicine.

"I think that's enough for today gentlemen."

"Kymina, are you sure you're going to be alright?"

"Yes, Nash, I am."

"Alright, just checking, Bender."

I use my super speed to dart up to Thawne's cell. He looks up staring at me.

"What?"

"I just thinking that you're quite beautiful and I want to ask you for my forgiveness. For everything I've done."

"I, I don't know. You've killed dozens of people and destroyed dozens of lives. You've come close so many times to destroying yourself, I honestly don't know if I can. You are a man running on borrowed time, Eobard, I honestly think at times you can't be saved."

"So you're saying you won't forgive me?"

"I have no say in whether you should be forgiven or not, Eo. That is up to you and whether you're willing to change or stay the monster that you currently are."

"You don't seem to bothered that I'm monster."

"That's because I remember a time when you weren't Eobard Thawne, the red eyed speedster known as Reverse Flash. I remember a time when you were Eobard Thawne, the boy genius, the boy who wanted to help the world, to protect it, not destroy it. I think there is a chance you can still become a hero, a small one yes, but a chance nonetheless."

We stood there in silence. Suddenly the alarms started going off.

"What's going on up there?"

"It seems someone is trying to break into a S.T.A.R labs off site facility."

"Barry and I will check it out."

I look at Eobard.

"Don't go anywhere."

I activate the suit, it suddenly appearing on my body. I put my mask on and race after the Flash.
