I woke up to Jaden's ID on my phone screen. He wanted to FaceTime. Smiling, I swiped and accepted.
"He-"
"Halston something's happened," he said, his voice elevated, the way it does when he's upset.
"What? What's wrong?" I asked.
"Do you know about what happened with Chase and Charli?" he asked.
"No not really," I yawned and sat up, "I'm not into dramas like that."
"Hals this is serious!" Jaden snapped, making my eyes go wide. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell, it's just- ugh!"
"Okay, um, why don't you tell me what's going on, from the beginning," I suggested, feeling a bit worried.
"Chase got with Nessa," he said. I gasped, no way sweet and innocent Nessa would actually do something like that....
"That's breaking the bro code," I said, still shocked. It wasn't just that, it was the principal of the thing. She just got out of a relationship, why is the first person she hooks up with, the guy her ex had beef with. "That's not cool."
"I know," Jaden sighed, "it gets worse. Chase took to Twitter and lied about it."
"What did he say?" I asked.
"Hold up, lemme get it from my screenshot because he deleted it," Jaden put me on paused and searched for it. "Got it, i'll send it to you, it has Charli's response too."
My phone 'ding'ed and I checked the message. My eyes almost fell out of my head when I read it. It was Charli's response that got me the most.

"What exactly is he lying about?" I asked going beck to FaceTime, where Jaden was waiting for me. "I mean, he confessed, right?"
"He didn't just kiss her Hals."
"Oh shoot," I realized what he was saying. "They hooked up, didn't they..."
"Yup," Jaden sighed, "but wait, there's more. After everyone started tweeting and basically calling him out for his lies, Chase posted this."
My phone 'ding'ed again. It was a whole paragraph that Chase had posted about ten minutes ago.
