Ladybug made her way back home and detransformed back into Marinette.

When Tikki flew out, Marinette began to freak out. "I rejected Chat! I rejected the guy I'm head over heels for!"

Tikki flew over to the desk where a few cookies were set.

Marinette paced back and forth in her room. "Frick, frick, frick. What the hell am I supposed to do now?! How can I face him tomorrow? Oh Tikki, I feel awful!"

Tikki looked at her holder sympathetically, "You didn't mean to break his heart. Besides, he seems to be holding out just fine, he hasn't gotten akumatized."

"Yeah, but that's because Adrien is too kind for his own good! I broke his heart and he's still so kind," Marinette sighed. "I just... I feel so terrible. He's Chat Noir! My crush! I rejected my crush!"

Marinette hid her face in her hands and groaned. "I ruined it! I ruined everything! There goes any chance of me being with Chat!"

"Marinette, calm down. It's going to be ok!"

"I need to fix this. Yeah, I need to fix things with Adrien..." Marinette muttered.

"How?" Tikki questioned. "Marinette already told Adrien she liked someone else, she can't just go back on her word."

Marinette thought for a second.

"Ladybug!" she said suddenly.

Tikki looked at her confused. "I'll fix it as Ladybug," Marinette clarified.

"You can't use your powers on him, Mari."

"What? No. Tikki, that's not what I mean. I mean, I'll use Ladybug to help cheer him up."

Tikki's face turned into a concerned one, "Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"It's worth a shot, at least Ladybug has a reason, she knows he's heartbroken so she'd just be checking up on him to make sure he doesn't get akumatized," Marinette responded, a small smile on her face.

Tikki eyes her holder, uneased. She wasn't so sure it was a good idea. Tikki sighed, "Ok Marinette, I trust you, and if you think that's a good idea, then go ahead. Just don't let it go too far."

Marinette nodded, a soft smile on her face.

The next morning, Marinette walked to school. She felt nervous. Even though she had decided to help fix things as Ladybug, she still had to face Adrien as Marinette.

She was early for once and she walked over to where Nino and Alya were standing.

The couple noticed her and Nino waved. Marinette smiled softly and hugged Alya. "You're early," Alya chuckled softly. Marinette nodded.

Nino raised a brow, "Is it because... something happened?" He grinned a little. Alya glanced at her boyfriend before turning back to look at Mari. Both of them studied her face to see her reaction. Nino had informed Alya that Adrien had confessed.

Marinette felt the color drain out of her face and she shifted awkwardly, "Y-yeah." Alya noticed and she frowned. She sensed something was wrong. Nino was oblivious.

Nino grinned even wider, "Oh really?" Marinette nodded. "I-I really need to speak to A-Adrien."

Alya continued to study Marinette's face. Something happened, but it wasn't good. She could sense Marinette's guilt. That was when it clicked for her and her eyes widened. Marinette had rejected Adrien.

Nino opened his mouth to say something but Alya cut him off by shoving her elbow not so subtly into his ribs. "Ow! Babe! What the hell?" he flinched, stepping back and rubbing his ribs.
