Epilogue

It had been a few weeks now. They turned in their project and were in their final week of class before they went on Christmas break. Marinette still had yet to explain everything to Alya in full detail, but she wanted to enjoy the peace for now.

She sat on a random rooftop, waiting for Chat to finish his round.

She heard a thud behind her and turned around.

"All clear?" she asked.

Chat nodded, "I did notice something, but it was a false alarm. That's why I finished a little later than usual."

Ladybug stood up, walking over to him and hugging him. He smiled and hugged back.

"I missed you," she pouted. They had both been busy with school, wrapping up the semester.

"I missed you too, buginette," he chuckled.

"I have something for you actually," he grinned.

She pulled back and looked up at him, "Oh? And what is it?"

He extended his hand out to her, and she put her hand in his with a giggle. He led her a few rooftops away before stopping in a somewhat hidden area.

Ladybug let out a soft gasp. Chat had set up a couple of blankets and a few candles. He wanted to set up something for both of them. They'd been busy with school and akumas that they didn't have time to sit down and relax in each other's company.

"I know we don't really get cold in the suits, but I thought it would still be nice to cuddle under some blankets together."

She turned to look at him and smiled, "This is so sweet, kitty."

Chat grinned, proud of himself.

They both walked over to the blankets and settled in. Ladybug cuddled up to Chat's chest, sighing contently.

"This is really nice. We don't get to relax like this often," she spoke.

"We should do this more often then," he replied. "I owe you many dates, anyway."

"You don't need to do that. You don't owe me anything," she smiled.

"But I do," he said, changing positions so he was on top of her. "I want to make it up to you."

He leaned down, capturing her lips. She kissed back, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Wouldn't a bed be better for this?" she asked, breaking their kiss.

"For what?" he asked, feigning innocence.

Ladybug rolled her eyes with a small smile.

"Why don't we go back to my place?" she asked.

"But I set all this up for you," he replied, pouting.

She gave him a peck on the lips before saying, "I know, and it's sweet. I appreciate it, but wouldn't it be better to cuddle inside with some hot cocoa?"

"I wanted to bring some hot cocoa but I was in a rush to set this up."

"Is that what the 'false alarm' was?"

"Yeah, I didn't have time to set it up before patrol," he said, his cat ears drooping.

"Don't feel bad kitty. Let's go to my place and make some cookies."

"Cookies?" he perked up.

She chuckled, "Yes, we can make croissants too if you want."

Chat pulled away from her and sat up.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go do that," he grinned.

He stood up, stretching his hand out to her. She smiled, taking his hand.

"Race you there?" he asked.

"On the count of three, ok?"

He nodded.

"1, 2, 3!"
