At Tyagi House
The morning sun streamed through the curtains of Dr. Neha Tyagi's bedroom as she sipped her first cup of tea. It was her usual quiet routine before heading to the hospital, but this morning had an unexpected twist.
She stepped onto her balcony to water the plants, only to find another bouquet waiting for her. This time, the flowers were a mix of bright sunflowers and daisies, radiating cheerfulness.
Curious, she picked up the bouquet and found a small envelope nestled within. With a soft laugh, she pulled out the card and read the neatly penned note:
'Dear Dr. Neha,
Flowers might not do justice to your charm, but consider this bouquet a token of admiration. If you'd like to make my day brighter.
Saurabh'
Neha stared at the note, her cheeks warming as a faint blush crept up. "Saurabh," she murmured, testing the name aloud. It wasn't a name she immediately recognized, but the gesture was undeniably sweet—and bold.
A flurry of thoughts filled her mind. Was this someone she knew? A colleague, perhaps? Or was it someone she had encountered outside the hospital?
Her phone buzzed, interrupting her musings. It was her best friend, Preeti.
"Neha, why do you sound distracted?" Preeti asked after catching up for a few minutes.
Neha chuckled, debating whether to share. "I just got another bouquet, this time with a... rather direct note."
"Another bouquet?" Preeti's voice rose with excitement. "Who's it from? Do you know them?"
"The name is Saurabh. Ring any bells?"
Preeti hummed in thought. "Saurabh? Nope, doesn't sound familiar. But this is interesting! What are you going to do?"
"I'm not sure yet," Neha admitted, glancing at the note again. "I don't want to encourage someone I barely know, but at the same time... this is kind of flattering."
Preeti laughed. "You've got a secret admirer, Dr. Tyagi! Enjoy it. Maybe reply to the note and see what happens. You don't have to commit to anything right away."
Neha smiled, her friend's enthusiasm infectious. "Maybe I will."
She carefully placed the bouquet on her coffee table, the note tucked neatly beside it. A part of her wanted to dismiss the whole thing as a frivolous gesture, but another part—the curious one—wanted to see where this might lead.
"Alright, Saurabh. Let's see what you've got," she thought.
In the evening
The sun dipped low, painting the horizon in hues of gold and pink. Niha stood in her room, slipping on a simple, pastel blue kurti that she paired with silver jhumkas. She glanced at herself in the mirror, tying her hair into a loose braid. Tonight wasn't about grand appearances; it was about being there for Dev, sharing something he loved.
A brisk knock on her door interrupted her thoughts.
"Niha, are you ready?" Dev's voice came from the hallway, laced with mild impatience.
