Inosuke x reader x Zenitsu: Wait, How long?!

Warning: MANGA SPOILER!! (Kinda like a medium level of spoiler)

In which you awake from a coma after a big battle. Lets hope you can recover!

Pt.1
Your gaze lands on the ceiling. Currently, nothing is running through your mind, you blankly stare until you hear a small creature in between your arm and hip.

A warm smile inches on your face as you realize its your sleeping dog upon your bed. The pugs breath rise and fall slowly, obviously in a blissful state.

"Scruffy-" your call to your dog is interrupted by your throat giving out, sitting up at your quickest was difficult and slow. But why? You're a demon Slayer, waking up shouldn't be this hard right?

The hacking fit you endured definitely did not do your sore body any justice. Realizing just how parches you are, you look around and chug down a half dranken glass of water on your bedside table. The refreshing liquid felt like a knife down your throat and your grip on the cup almost completely gives out.

What's happening? You think to yourself.

Considering you couldn't even hold a cup, you figure you probably wont be able to stand up either.

"He- hello-" your call for assistance is interrupted yet again by a string of coughs. The pain which surges through your body causes you to double over and grit your teeth.

Your eyes look off to the side of the room and your brows lower. The annoyance of the situation becoming more and more visible on your face.
Well that's not gonna work.

Looking around, (e/c) eyes land on the red dog ball next to your stomach and a grin spreads on your face

Your fingers weakly curl around the red sphere and you toss it as hard as you can towards the doorway.

Unfortunately, it barely hits the outside corridors wall and bounces away with just a few loud squeaks. A sigh of defeat exits your mouth, you figured you'll just have to wait for some-

CRASH

The loud shattering of glass upon the floor and the scream of young boy instantly hits your ears.

Before the thoughts in your brain recognize what just happened, honey colored eyes meet yours and you know whats about to come next

"WAAAAAH!! Y/NNNN!! I CANT BELIEVE IT! YOU'RE FINALLY AWAKE!!" The anxiety-filled demon Slayer is at your bedside, arms above his head as he sobs into your bedsheets

"Wh-what do you mean you can't believe it? We just got back from the mission!" You suddenly remembered
The mission! At the red light district! After beheading the female demon, the next images in your head were quick scenes of Tanjiro squaring off against the upper moon, and Zenitsu being crushed under rubble... but what about Inosuke?

"Wait... how are your legs healed Itsu? Are you sure you can stand right now?" Not that he was exactly 'standing tall' right now anyways. But just after a long night of fighting, he should be in bed resting!

"Huh?" The boy lifted his head off your sheets and tilted his head in question "My legs? Did something happen to my... legs" As his words trailed off, he soon realized what you saw the situation as.

"Y/N.... the fight was awhile ago? You've been out for a few months now" He stared into your eyes, trying to bring as much comfort as he could with this harsh news.

Staring back into his sunset colored eyes would've usually flustered the young boy, but the worry in your own eyes pushed aside that part of him as you searched for any possible hint of a joke. Feeling the weight of his words, you laid back down in your hospital bed, and just stared at the wall straight ahead, mouth slightly agap.

"S-so... the others. Are they ok? I can't remember what happened to Inosuke but Tanjiro was in pretty bad shape."

Still avoiding the blondes gaze, you heart settled slightly hearing his next sentence

"Well, Tanjiro woke up last month so he was out to, my legs broke but they're all better now!"

A breath of relief left your lips "And Inosuke?" You asked, finally turning your head to once again stare into those golden orbs.

But instead of meeting the deeply colored eyes of Zenitsu, you jumped back, startled when your nose hit the snout of a boars head

"GAH!" Your heart picked up as your gaze met his and you felt his warm breath blow out through the mask.

"Y/N!! YOU WEAKLING! I though you were much strong than that! But you took TWICE as long as me to wake up!" He triumphantly laughed at you

"Luckily you have me to comfort you my underling." The wild boar-boy extended his arm away from you and quickly snaps his fingers "Monitsu. Get my best underling Tempura now! Bring extra rice to"

With an irritated stare, Zenitsu looks at Inosuke, but decided serving you was better than arguing with him over the disrespect and he quickly ran towards the kitchen.

While you still had many questions, a small smile formed on your face knowing that you'd be in good hands for your recovery.
