the x factor

my brother liam and i, were gonna audition for the x factor today. my brother had auditioned two years prior but was booted off because of his age. liam was older than me by a year and three months. my birthday being november 28, 1994.

we were waiting in line to enter the building. we were almost inside. i make conversation with a guy behind me who i learned his name is louis. my brother doesn't seem to care who im talking with.

we enter the building and i say bye to louis wishing him a good luck. we grab our numbers and head out to wait.

~time skip~
liam gets called on stage and i hug him quickly and he walks through the big brown doors. we see from the tv provided for us and see simon bow his head down laughing and liam smiling.

liam nails his audition cause the judges gave him a yes. "lia payne" my name gets called out as liam walks off the stage. i make my appearance. "hello lia" simon says. "hi" i said nervously. "i'll be singing just the way you are by bruno mars" i said into the mic. simon nods and i proceed to sing. i got two yes' meaning i was in.

"thank you" i said nearly about to cry. i walked out and leaped into liam's arms. "congratulations" he says. "you congratulations" i said. mom and dad joined our hug.

~skip to the last day of bootcamp~

july 23, 2010

all my team members that i was put in with were eliminated. i was the only one left with a couple more girls. today was the last day of bootcamp and it's honestly the scariest because they will be eliminating so many people.

i get dressed and head out to the buses. i get situated in a seat and they start to take us to the manchester central. i decided to sing the song need you now by lady antebellum. we arrive and its either in the game or being kicked off.

we were all sitting in the audience. "okay when i call your name come up on stage" simom says. he starts listing off names from the boys side. i didnt hear liam or louis's name. nicole starts to name off names from the girls amd didnt hear mine.

my vision gets clouded with tears. i find liam and cry in his arms making the other guys look at us. we find mom and dad backstage and i run into my dad's arms. i sob. "can louis tomlinson, zayn malik, liam payne, niall horan, harry styles, and lia payne come back to the stage please?" we hear simom say just as were about to leave. i meet up with the other guys after awhile of trying to look for them.

"what do they want?" a dark haired boy with brown eyes says. "probably just to make us cry. you know for the cameras" i said while wiping my tears. we make our way onstage and we stand in the order they called us out in. "we have decided to put you 6 in a band" simon states smiling.

liam picks me up spinning me around. he puts me down and louis comes running up to me tackling me in a hug. "wait you two know each other?" liam asks. "yeah i met him line back when we first auditioned." i said. he nods his head. we all do a group hug and we smile.
