Chapter 8

Peeta POV
After Katniss came we watched that movie she suggested. Finnick screamed most of the time and so did Gale but he was trying to keep strong so he wouldn't scream in front of Katniss maybe he was waiting for Katniss to get scared so she could cuddle with him. But Katniss didnt seem scared at all she was laughing like if it was a comedy like Jo does when we watch a scary movie
"Finn the movie just ended you can come out now you too gale" Katniss says
"it wasnt that scary" i say
"yeah it really wasnt" katniss answers
"are you freakin kiddin me that movie was horrible worst then the seed of chucky" finnick answered
"come on daddy your suppose to be the brave one'' katniss says and me and her start laughing
''i am'' finnick says katniss yawns
''is my baby girl sleepy'' finnick says in a baby voice to katniss causing all of us to laugh
''yes daddy you baby girl has had a bad day'' katniss says all sleepy
''want me to carry you?''
''piggyback ride'' she says and extends her arms and finnick gets her on his back
"Run like the wind daddy" she says and Finnick starts running all around the kitchen and the leaving room then he takes her off his back and spins her around next to me
"Peeta catch" he says
"Finnick Odaril don't you dare" she says
"Too late" he says and throws her to me I catch her she is not that heavy she wraps her legs around my waist and her arms around her neck. I wrap mines in her waist. Then some how my face ends up inches from hers. I didn't realize I was leaning in until she leaned to. When her lips touched mine it felt amazing fireworks blew everywhere. I lick her lips asking for an entrance she lets me in and soon we are exploring each other mouth. Damn this girl is a good kisser. I don't know how long we are kissing but we don't pull alway until someone clears there throat. Katniss jumps of me
"Will talk later" I mouth to her and she nods
"I am going to go get a water bottle" she says and walks to the kitchen blushing. I turn around to see my 3 brothers smiling, Finn smirking and Gale well let's just say if looks could kill I would be dead
"What?" I say like nothing happened
"Bro don't act like you weren't just making out with my best friend" Finnick says and jumps on my back
"Yeah little bro you got the only girl of the Everdeen family" my brother Rye say
"How do you know her last name?" I say
"I got to the police academy with her brother and he always talks about her, oh I remember when she graduated her brother was so happy like if he had won the lottery but he were upset she was going to England for college"
"And I know Damon since you were 13" my other brother Steven says
"I don't know her" my little brother says
"And I meet her 3 days ago" Gale says
"So do I" I say
"And I known her since I was 6" Finnick says
"And I have known me since birth" someone says everyone turns around and see Katniss on the couch
"How long ha be you been standing here?" I say
"Not long just enough to hear how long you'll now me" she says and turns to my brother Steven "you remember me?" my brother shakes his head
"Really you went to visit my brother in NYC when you were 18 I was 14 I was the blonde girl with green eyes that was always on the couch eating pizza and watching TV" she says and my brother shakes his head
"I was the one you and my brother payed me 50$ because you'll went to a party instead of taking care of me like you were suppose to" she says
"That was you!" My brother says
"Yeah" she answers
"Wait why did you had blonde hair and green eyes?" He says Katniss looks at Finnick
"It was a dare from that dumb ass over there" she says and points at Finnick
"Yeah but you still rocked that look" Finnick defends and snaps his fingers
"Finnick you know what?" She says
"What?"
"I am hungry" she says and Finnick laugh
"Of course what are you in the mood for?" He says
"Pizza" she says
"Really it's 12:45 no pizza restaurant is open now" Gale says
"Well I am sorry Gale I didn't check the time" she snaps
"How about 24 hour McDonalds?"
"Let's go" I say and get Finnick of my back
"Thank you finally a someone understands a girl needs to eat too" she say
"I am going" Finnick says and Gale nods and we all head out to my car and drive to McDonalds we order are food I park the car and we eat there
"Katniss how did you meet Finnick?" I asks
Katniss POV (Before their kissing)
"Finnick Odaril don't you dare" I say
"Too late" he says and throws me to Peeta he catches me which causes me to wrap my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck, he wraps his arms around my waist. Then I didn't realize I was leaning in until he leaned too when his lips were on mine it was beautiful unlike the kisses I have shared with my ex boyfriends this kiss was loving and sweet unlike the other ones that were full of passion and aggression. Peeta licks my lip asking for permission I give it to him. His tongue is exploring my mouth and mine his. This boy is a good kisser it makes me want more. I don't know how long we are kissing but until someone clears their throat I jump of him
"Will talk later" Peeta mouths to me and I blush
"I am going to get a water bottle" I say and walk to the kitchen
I can't believe I was just making out with Peeta
Like literally what have I done? although it felt amazing and beaut- I get cut of of my thoughts bye my phone ringing it's my brothers

🎶yeah I am fine
📱where are you?
🎮we were worried sick your in so much trouble young lady
🎶Stefan calm down at least I am not on the streets

With that I hang up grab a water bottle and go back to the living room very quietly and sit on the couch and listen to the guys talk about how long they have known me
"I have known her since I was 6" Finnick says on Peeta's back
"And I have. Known me since birth" I say and everyone turns towards me
-skip to were Peeta asked her the question-
"Katniss how long have you known Finnick?" Peeta asks me
~Flashback~
It's a month after school started I am in Mrs.Burtons my 1st grade teacher when a boy with blonde hair and green eyes enters the class room and the teacher stands up
"Everyone please welcome Finnick Odaril he just moved here from Florida, Katniss could you please help him settle in?" She says and I nod
"Okay Finnick go sit next to Katniss over there?" She says and. Finnick walks over to me
"Katniss do you want a sugar cube?" He offers me a sugar cube
"Sure" I take it and we pop it in our mouths at the same time
"You know what Kit Kat we are going to be good friends"
~end of flashback~
"And that's how I meet Finn" I say
"WOW even as a little kid you still loved sugar cubes" Peeta says
"You cannot even imagine" I say and turn around to see Finnick and Gale on my phone
"What are you doing on my phone?" I say
"Looking at your pictures" he says
"I like this one" Gale says and shows me a picture of me with spider man
"I like it too" I say and my phone beeps
"You got a text and its a video can I see it?" Finnick pleads
"Not before me who send it?" I say
"it says 💝Bryan💝" he says
"Sh!t give me that" I say and he moves it from me
"Finnick give it now if you don't I will tell your parents you broke my grandparents 100 year old vase" I say and he hand it to me I look at the text it's from my ex boyfriend Bryan
"Can we watch it?" Peeta say
"Sure" I say and put my phone in the middle it a video of pictures of me and him but mostly me will the the song Grenade by Bruno Mars plays in the end when the song finishes he says
"Katniss please what I did was vert stupid but you were and are the best thing that happen to me please I would do anything to get you back please come back to me I love you"
"Katniss what did he do?" Finnick asks me trying to stay calm
"Finnick now it's no the time I gotta call him" I say and grab my phone
"Are you going to get back with him?" Peeta asks me
"NO never in a million years that's over and I don't want it back" I say and get out of the car and call Bryan (Phone conversation Katniss🎶/Bryan 👻
👻hello
🎶Bryan its me Katniss
👻Katniss? are you calling because you saw the video and finally understood how much i love you? and how deeply regret what I did? and will take me back?
🎶well half of it i saw the video and no i wont take you back
👻but Katniss I love you and even if you broke up with me i will still catch a grenade for you

🎶well 1st of all you cheated on me in my dorm 2nd of all when I was talking to Ryan you slapped me and called me a s*** and for that I will never forgive you now bye
👻no Katniss wait
I hang up and throw my phone it lands on the concrete. As soon as I realize what I did I run over do my phone and pick it up the screen is so cracked I walk back to the car
"What happen?" Peeta asks me
"Long story or short I need a new phone" I say and show them my phone
"Damn Kat you know how to throw" Gale says
"Katniss not to be rude but I listen to your conversation and did you say the dude slapped you" Finnick says
"Omg Finnick yes, yes I did now let's go to your house I gotta pick up my brothers car and then find a hotel it what ever" I say and Finnick shuts up he understands I am mad right now and knows better not to get on my bad side
"Why do you have yo find a hotel?" Peeta asks me
"Because I don't want to go home" I say
"You can stay at my house if you want" he gives me a charming smile that makes me malt inside
"Thank you" I say and tries to start the car but it won't turn on.
"What happen?" Gale says
"Did we ran out of gas?" Finnick says and Peeta shakes his head I start laughing once I realize what happened they all look at me like I am crazy
"Dude the car ran out of battery" I say
"Now what do we do?" Peeta asks
"Fix it open the trunk" I say and get out Peeta opens it and all 3 of then get out
"Okay now who is going to fix it none of us know mechanic" Gale says
"Me" I say and Gale start laughing i walk to him
"What's so funny?" I ask
"It just you think you can fix a car impossible!" He says
"Wanna bet?" I say
"100$ you can't fix that car" he says
"Deal" I say and we shake hands I go back to the trunk lucky Peeta has the wires and an extra battery I go to the front of a car and open it I plug in the wires both of the wires and then turn The battery on and Peeta's car to so that the battery from the battery can go into Peeta's car battery
"Peeta could you please start the car" I say and he starts it it works I unplug all the wires and put them in the trunk and close it to find a surprised Peeta, and Gale who looks like his eyes balls are going to get out any second, and Finnick who being Finnick gives me a high 5
"Who said I couldn't fix a car?" I say Peeta and Finnick start laughing he takes out his wallet and hands me 5 20$ bills
"Thank you" I say and take the money
"Katniss who taught you mechanics?" Finnick says
"Well after you left I had a lot of free time and my Nana's(babysitter) husband was a mechanic" I say
"Nana?" Peeta asks
"She took care of me and my brothers when my parent couldn't because of work when since we were baby's so when my patents and Finn moved to LA she moved in with me to take care of me so she has been like a 2nd mom to us me and my brothers so we call her Nana"
"Oh" he says and starts driving to his house. Once we get to Peeta's house we watched another movie but I feel asleep and I remember being carried and put in a bed I don't pay attention and go back to sleep. I wake up and see I am in somebody's bed I stand up and see Finn on the floor, Gale on a bean bag, and Peeta on the couch but he's awake and on his phone I decide to text him I grab my phone which is on the night stand but then I remember it's broken so I grad Finn phone which is next to mine I turn it on and realize it has a lock
Think Katniss! Think he is your best friend what could his password be
Then it hits me I grab his phone and type 1-2-3-4 it works I go to his messages and find Peeta (Katniss💝 Peeta🐶)

Peeta looks at Finnick confused once he sees his is sleeping he looks even mire confused but text back a reply

I decide to pretend I am Finnick so I text him how Finnick would I have seen they have a bromance and they call each other 'hun'

I find it totally ridiculous that Finnick calls him self the sea God but it's his life

"Well you know where friends and I don't know much about you so tell me?"

"Well what do you want to know?"
"What's your favorite color?" He asks

"Seriously do what is it?"
"Green, what's yours?" I answer
"Orange" he answers
"Like my moms assistant hair?"
"No more like the sunset type of orange" he says with a smile I can't help to smile back
"Okay so you asked a question now I will ask one okay?" I say and he nods "do you have a girlfriend?" Those words were not what I told my mouth to say
"No no I don't do you?" ha says with a smile
"Nope" I answer
"But that I don't have a girlfriend doesn't mean I don't have a crush" he say and I frown it's probably a celebrity or something
"Well what's her name? I want to meet her" I say if I am not going to date him I want to meet who possibly will
"You already now her" he says
"Well what is she like?"
"Well she is beautiful, she is caring, she is sweet, she is amazing, she can be a little stubborn but I like her attitude, I swear this girl make me go crazy by just coming into the room, she is just simply wonderful" he describes this wonderful girl it makes me boil inside
"She must be a very lucky girl I am happy for you" I lie sweetly trying to sound happy
"Thank you but I don't think I will ever get her" he says disappointed
"Why?" I ask
"We when she walks in the street she gets a lot of looks from guys and I am sure she gets hit on everyday and well she has been her for a while and I already know about 5-10 guys who like her" he says disappointed
"Well you should call her and if she is dumb enough to reject you she doesn't deserve you" I say
"Okay I will call her" he says and dials a number in his phone then my phone starts ringing
"Wait I think I am getting a call it's probably my brothers wondering if I staid at a hotel" I say and even do I can't see who it is I still answer
"Hello" I say
"Katniss I like you" the person on the phone says and also next to me then they hang up I take a moment to realize what it means he LIKES me
HE likes ME well I guess I have to tell him I like him back
"Katniss listen if you don-" he starts but I get on top of him and kiss him when we pull alway I say "I-" peck his lips "like-" peck his lips "you-"peck his lips "too-" I kiss him again
"I am glad" he kisses me again
"Will you go out with me?" He asks
"Yes yes I will" I say and then yawn
"Let's get some sleep" he says and I get up of him but he's pulls me close again I lay my head in his chest and he wraps his arms around me making me feel safe then sleep finds me
