16. Screw you, Zach

Oh, fuck me.

I should have figured it out sooner, they had the same grey eyes and identical loose faded brown curls. I am literally doomed. I am stuck between two of whom I had a complicated relationship with and god only knows in how much of a thin thread I am standing in.

I just stared at them bewildered. They had typically same kind of body but their face was different for that matter. So, I shouldn't blame myself, wholly. But those time when I wish I was disappeared in thin air is in this kind of moment. Who was I kidding, I can bend over and grab some dirt and maybe throw it at their eyes and take a run for it? I shook my head at my silly thoughts which pops up in my mind in a tough situation like this.

"I thought I told you I would directly meet you at the restaurant?" Mr. Wilson asked in a clipped tone which was directed towards his brother. His eyes did not once meet mine. I guess I won nothing other than humiliation and embarrassment kissing his brother. I am so stupid. This is why you are not allowed to take rash decisions in demanding situation.

"Yes, I did. But I told you I had a surprise. Remember?" Nick asked him. Neither of them was minding me so I thought I would sneak out of their quid pro quo. So, I slowly started taking steps towards the entry way. I saw Mr. Wilson nodding at him. Suddenly Nick turned towards me so I stopped dead in my tracks.

"Here it is." Nick said pointing towards me. To be safe I looked behind me to see some big ass box or something but he was referring to me.

"Our Brother's-in-law niece." Nick explained to Zach and my eyes widened just as his did. That was when he saw me, for the first time after the kiss with Nick, it felt like hours. I was kind of relieved and giddy at the same time when I should be mad at him.

His breath hitched and I could see it from where I was standing. Understanding dawned on his face. But quickly he turned his face to Nick who was looking at me. He smiled at me. But Zach's voice was like bullet when he spoke.

"Nick! I don't care who this is. Mia is in the restaurant, alone and I don't want to keep her waiting." He said referring to their sister.

"Yeah.....sure. But what about Amelia?" Nick was hesitant considering his brother's bitchy mood.

"What about her?" He bit out. The moment the words left his mouth I was only able to see red. Maybe I did provoke him but there is no need to act all Hitler towards me.

"Fuck you." I spat out, throwing out my middle finger in his direction and jogged towards the Uni's near bus station. I could faintly hear Nick's voice calling me but I had angry tears and I was dead set on avoiding him for rest of my goddamn life.

I was taking deep breaths and was finally calm when I sat down at the station. The road was filled with cars and people where walking on the sidewalks like their lives were very normal. I guess I couldn't say the same. A vaguely familiar car passed me and stopped at the nearest parking spot. I grinded my molars when I saw Nick leaving the passenger seat of his car and strode towards me.

He sat down next to me slowly as if I would have a breakdown. Which I had. "Abs,"- calling me with a new nick name- "Sorry for how my brother acted like an asshole."

"That he is." I muttered under my breath while staring at my bare thighs.

"Mia wanted to see you that was why I told you I wanted to talk to you in the first place." I nodded. "Shall we go then?"

"What? Now?"

"Yes, now. She came here just for the day and wanted to meet the three of us face-to-face. Zach didn't know you were invited that was why he had no clue who you were. I don't know what is up with his ass today." He grumbled.
