“So, let me get this straight.  Amelia is the student you fucked?”  Nick almost yells.  I winced.

And opposite to me Zach was sitting with his hands on the table cradling his cheeks, like he doesn’t have a care in this world.  I clenched my fists under the table.  I just want to punch his smirk out of his face.  Zach shrugged for Nick’s question, as if it wasn’t no big deal.

“And you used me to make him jealous?”  His head turned towards me, his eyes unmistakably holding anger.  I cringed internally.  I never seen him so angry before.

“It’s not like that.  I wasn’t trying to—”

“Yeah, like you weren’t trying to kiss me to make my brother jealous.”  He seethed.  I just hated how he was trying to make me feel guilty for everything even before hearing what happened.

“Don’t try to pin everything against me, Nicolas.  I fucking didn’t know he was your brother and I was not trying to make him jealous.  And don’t bother to yell at me when you also used me.”  I spit out.  What happened with Hayley was still making me uneasy.  He used me as I used him.  Fuck him if he thinks he is above all.

He turned around and held his head between his hands.  I know, he did what he had to do that day on purpose like I did, today.  So, we are even.  Zach quirked an eyebrow at me like I should explain him what happened.  Like hell.  I flipped him the bird and just turned in time as Mia came striding towards the table.

She stood near her chair and assessed the table as if sensing the tension.  “Is everything alright?”  she asked eyeing Nick.

“Yes.”  I chirped trying to sound happy.  She took her seat and kept her handbag in front of her.

She clapped happily to get all of our attention and opened her handbag.  It was like Christmas seeing her so happy and content.  Nick finally came up from whatever he was thinking and eyed his sister.

“Okay.  So, I have two good news.  What do you guys want to hear first.”  She said her face breaking into a huge grin.

“Like we have choice.  Tell us Mia.”  Zach said with a small smile playing at his lips.  At least he didn’t sound like an asshole.

“Wait, I have an idea.”  She stopped talking and dug through her handbag.  And grinned as if she found jackpot in there.  “Close your eyes guys I will present both of the news in front of you at the same time.”

“What is it Mia.  Is it a newspaper?”  Zach asked mockingly.

She shushed him and made us close our eyes.  Nick was silent and it is so out of character for him.  I don’t know what he was thinking but whatever it was, I don’t think it is going to well for him.  A metal sound came directly in front of my closed eyes.  What was Aunt Mia up to?  I tried to guess what kind of good news comes in form of metal.

“Open your eyes, guys.”  She cheered.

My eyes immediately fall on a key and underneath was an ultrasound photo.  Shocked, I look up, to see Mia in tears.  I squealed and got up from my seat and hugged Mia.

“Congratulations, Mia.  I am so happy for you.”  I squeal again with not containing my happiness.  I love babies.  Those little creatures are which make me keep me going in this cruel world.  How much of happiness a baby brings to a family is an underrated feeling and understatement.

“What is happening?  I don’t understand.”  Nick was holding the ultrasound photo and was trying to read the words on top of it.  I laughed at his stupidity.  Meanwhile Zach was clutching Mia tightly while her head was on his shoulder.  I turned to Nick who was still trying to read.
