Historical and cultural incorrectness incoming! I don't know much about the Inca culture at that time and it was hard to find stuff that matched up with my ideas for this chapter. So I tried to think of something that could've maybe existed back then... I hope you still enjoy it!

Kuzco was right; your day was busy. In the morning you spent a little more time with him talking about the plans for the day while eating the breakfast you prepared. He said that tonight at his birthday party there would be some kind of ritual dance you two had to perform. So a teacher would explain to you the theory behind it and teach you the steps for it later.

You were really curious about what kind of dance it was. As they never taught anything about Inca culture in school, you knew nothing about this world. That's why you were looking forward to learning everything now while literally reliving it.

After the most amazing breakfast you had in a while you returned to your room to catch up on some sleep before your dance teacher arrived.

"This dance is an important ritual for the coming of age ceremony of the Emperor", your teacher explained in a very strict voice. You were hoping for a nice and friendly lady but instead, you got a grandma-like old woman who looked like she would rip you apart if you interrupted her even once. "As the Emperor is a descendant of the Sun God himself he is automatically a demigod. This dance is a symbol for the sun giving him the full power and authority to rule this kingdom."

"But doesn't he have already the power to rule?", you asked.

"Of course he is already the Emperor. But for now, it's only by Law. With today's ceremony, he will be one in every aspect. By Law and by God. Anyway, this dance is already hundreds of years old and a tradition passed down from generation to generation."

"Ohhh okay", you were astonished about the history of the dance.

"You are playing an important role in this because you are his fiancé. You are to receive the blessings of the Gods with that."

The blessings of the Gods? You weren't sure how to understand that but you felt it was something you wouldn't want to mess up. The feeling of pressure inside you rose and you became nervous already.

The old woman clapped in her hands. "Let's begin then."

And so she started to show you the different poses, movements, and steps you needed to learn. She paid attention to every detail from the speed of turning your head to your fingers and how you spread them. At the same time, she explained to you the symbolic meaning of every pose.

Once you kinda memorized the moves she took the role of the male dancer and you practiced how you and Kuzco would dance together later. You were amazed by how well in shape your teacher was for an old lady. It was rather you who had to gasp for air sometimes.

After many, many hours she finally nodded her head, and you were done. Fortunately, the dance was rather simple but as you had not much talent as a dancer it took way longer than it should have. But now you were at least confident enough that you wouldn't mess up completely.

A quick lunch later, you were rushed to your next appointment with Miran. After all, you had to be styled up for the ceremony. The designer already awaited you and pushed you behind the screen in your room.

"Finally you're here Your Highness! We're already running late! And there is so much to do", he whined sounding stressed out already. He reminded you of the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
