Chapter 28

Mals POV:
We are on the way to Colorado to see my family. We spent some time with christens family in California and now we are sat on the plane on the way to my family. Jordan and Tobin are flat out sleeping so me and Chrissy are just talking about anything to pass the time.

An hour later the captain tells us we are landing and we wake up tobs and Jordan.

"Come on baby we are about to land" I say kissing Jordan's cheek

"Ughhh I'm tired babe" she says rubbing her eyes

"I know baby but when we get to my parent house we can sleep" I say holding her hand

"Holy shit I forgot about that. I need to wake up a bit so I don't screw it up" she says getting up to go to the bathroom.

She comes back a few minutes later looking more awake than before

"I'm awake now princess, I won't mess up" she says sitting back down and kissing my forehead

"Don't worry jordie they will love you" I say and rub the back of her hand

"I need Tobin to give me a pep talk. She's doing good with christens dad" she said looking at a sleeping Tobin.

"Sorry Jordan I woke her up and she fell back asleep 5 minutes later" Chris says laughing

"It's ok thanks Chris" Jordan says turning back to me

"Jordie breathe it's gonna be fine" I say kissing her knuckles

"Mal, baby I need to make a good impression because they could be the parents of my future wife" she says rubbing her forehead

"Jordie please chill out, we will get married and have kids together. My parents are gonna love you I promise. Don't worry" I say resting my head on her shoulder

"Ok I'm sorry bubba I will chill out a bit" she says stroking my hair

"I love you" I say holding her hand tighter

"I love you more princess" she says as we start to land.

Jordan's POV:
We pulled up to the front of mals house and I started to get a bit nervous. To distract myself I picked up everyone's luggage so I had something to do. I walked towards the front door where Mal is stood hugging her dad and christen is hugging her mom. Tobin runs up to them both and hugs them too.

"Come on Jordan" Mal calls out to me

"Uhh yeah ok I'm coming" I say walking up the steps trying to compose myself

"Jordan meet my mom and my dad" mal says

"It's a pleasure to meet you mr and mrs Pugh" I say putting the luggage down to shake their hands

"I have heard a lot about you Jordan" her dad says shaking my hand firmly

"I'm happy that I get to meet the young woman that makes my daughter happy" her mom says pulling me into a hug

"Come on let's go inside it's freezing" mal says taking some of the bags.

"Mal darling, will you Tobin and Chris take the bags up to the rooms please. I need to talk to Jordan" her dad says

"Yeah of course" mal says before walking over and kissing my cheek and whispering in my ear "don't worry babe"

I watch as all 3 of them walk upstairs and leave me with mals parents.

"So Jordan, how did you meet Mal?" Her mum says calmly

"Well that's a funny story if I'm being honest" I say laughing " I'm a firefighter and I got called out to put out a burning hotel with 23 guests trapped inside. The 23 guests happened to be the national team. Me and my team got everyone out apart from Mal because she wasn't with the rest of the team. Tobin and ash pointed me in the direction of where she was and I got her out" I say smiling at them both

"Aww that's really cute. Thank you for saving her Jordan we owe you" her mom says getting up and hugging me

"Don't worry, you don't owe me anything" I say smiling at her

" my bad I didn't know you worked to save people. I didn't mean to come off as rude" mr Pugh says looking down.

"No don't worry, if my daughter is ever as amazing as yours is I would probably go for the kid that is dating her"

"Thank you for saving her" he says smiling at me

"Don't worry sir. I also wanted to tell you my intentions with your daughter because I respect you both a lot and you seem like amazing parents" I say looking at them both

"That's very good of you Jordan" Mr Pugh says

"Well for starters, your daughter is my world. I don't know what I would do without her. She filled a massive hole in my life and spread her light and joy too. I will treat her as a princess until the day she will become my queen. Mal is my number one priority and if she said there was an emergency or a she needed me I would drop anything and get to her side as quickly as possible. I love Mal with my whole heart and I intended to until the day I die" I say confidently

"Wow you really care for her don't you" they both say

"Yeah your daughter means the world to me" I say smiling

"Welcome to the family Jordan. Go upstairs and go and see her" mr Pugh says and I get up and walk out the room

Once I got out of their living room I see Mal standing at the bottom of the stairs with tears running down her face silently.

"Baby what's wrong" I say running over to her

"I heard what you said" she said looking up at me

"Yeah is that ok?" I ask nervously

"I didn't know all of that" She says with tears still running down her face

"Bubba I meant every single word I said. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me" I say hugging her tightly

"I love you jordie" she says sniffling

"I love you too princess. Let's catch up on some sleep now" I say and carry her up the stairs

"Night night Jordan" she says cuddling into me

"Goodnight baby girl" I say kissing her head and falling asleep next to her
