"Ready to go Hailey" I hear my mom shout from downstairs.
I shout hold on while I finish checking Instagram. I gather up all my stuff and run downstairs. Today is the day, our family is finally taking a trip to California.
I am so excited because... Well you see I'm just a 14 year old girl living her life in Arizona, the state of pure heat and I really hate it here! I also just love the feeling I get whenever I visit California. We get in the car all ready to go while I put in my headphones and watch as the the world goes by.

We finally get to the hotel after 6 of the most boring hours ever! We get to our room, and unpack. As I unpack, though, I ask my parents what's on the agenda for tomorrow. My dad answers "well...tomorrow your mom has meeting so you can sleep in and just chill." I hear those words and SCREAM in my head! Then my sister, Ally decides to jump in and say "mom also has a meeting on Thursday and next week Monday and Wednesday" I stare my dad straight in the eyes and calmly but firmly say "let me guess, the only reason we took a two week Vacation to California-my whole spring break- Is so mom could go to all her meetings?!" My dad begins to respond, but trails off. I storm out of the room and into the hallway while I walk back and forth trying to let off steam. I silently speak to myself and say "I thought they loved me, why would they even keep this away from me?" I'm so PO I refuse to even turn around when my mom comes out to apologize. She has a very comforting warmth about her that I began to loosen up a bit. She explained to me why she had to go to these meeting and why she didn't tell me then out of nowhere from some other random part of me, I forgive her. I begin to walk into the room and just let it all go and everything was better... for the most part. I get ready for bed and while I'm putting my hair up in a bun, my dad walks towards the mirror and says "Hailey, so because of all your mom's meetings, you get to pick what we do on Tuesday-Monday, was my moms meeting day and Tuesday was all up to me- a smile began to escape my face
and I turn around and shout Six Flags!!!! My dad jumps a bit, but he seems to approve of going to Six Flags on Tuesday. I go to bed that night with not a hint of sadness in sight and know what is up to come!
