Month 2: Being Quarantined In Farmville

Me: Still in the month of March and slowly moving into April, the months of being quarantined were just about to begin. I still heard that word "Quarantine." Thinking it was some kind of "bad word" I decided to look it up on the internet or ask Mommy, so I did both. I asked my Mom and she said that being quarantined means that you have to be separated from large groups of people or people who are sick to not catch their "cold." At least, that's what I thought she meant, so I decided to look it up on Google and it pretty much said the same thing she did, who knew?

Ok, so I'm in the house all day and night in a new small town with only my mom, my godmother, her boyfriend and her little baby. Not so bad, right? Well, guess what? I was slowly becoming wrong on what I said, it was getting kind of bad, and of course I was trying to stay positive, but even I know that staying clam and brave can only get you so far.

Here are three reasons why I think it was getting bad being the house all day.

One: My Godmother Mrs. Shaddai is always putting her toddler or baby, Admire down for a nap at around three and it lasts until maybe four or five. I know babies need their sleep, but as a voice actress trying to work on her voices and characters, I could barely voice act like I used to anymore. Instead of being that loud lion, now I'm back to my quiet mouse voice or a whisper, and I hate whispering! Don't ask me why I just hate it!

Two: I couldn't even see my friends anymore! Sure, talking to them or texting them is fine, I don't mind doing that, mostly because my mom says that's my generation anyway. But talk and text will only get me so far before something happens to my cellphone.

Three: We were missing out on some of the good stuff going on back in home town Toledo! Like my Chief friend Mrs. Kietha, she had posted on Facebook that she's delivering meals to people, which is great! But it's been so long since I've tasted her fried chicken and her French fries! Everytime I even think about them, my mouth starts watering! Then, I heard my friend Pyper had recently turned nineteen, and my best friend Freedom had graduated. I was upset about missing both events, I really wanted to get Pyper a birthday present and give Freedom a high five and big hug and tell her congratulations! In person. But I wasn't so worried about it, I know we'll be going home soon, right? Unfortunately, I was wrong, again. I hate quarantine!

Over the next few weeks, I started seeing adds on the TV for washing your hands, wear face masks, staying six feet away, stay away from large groups of people, no high fives, no hugging, and social distancing. Which brought up some new questions in my head. Why do you need to wear mask on our faces if we're inside all day? And what exactly is social distancing? Why do we have to stay six feet away? Luckily, the next month and big brother, would have the answers to all my questions, hopefully.
