Me: Yay! It's May! I shouted, because this is the month that I'm officially coming back from my hiatus off my YouTube channel, which is LongHairedGIRL2000!!!! For those who want to check it out.
But during the five months off, I was just posting on Instagram, eating chocolate, working my drawing, OC cat characters and watching YouTube videos instead of posting them, which was slowly killing me on the inside!
Most throughout April, I told my theatre teacher friend, Mrs. Aherne and a few of my other friends that I was on hiatus from YouTube and that on May 28th which would be my 5th YouTube Anniversary, that I'd be back on YouTube, which they were pretty surprised, because knowing me by now, I'm always on YouTube, but I said it was time for a little, even a awesome person like me needs a break every now and then.
When Mrs. Aherne asked me how it felt to be off of YouTube for so long? I told her that it was pretty hard to stay away, making up these fake and never gonna happen experiences like... "They're gonna shout my name in the comments!" And "They are gonna miss me!" And especially this "Trust me Mrs. Aherne, by the time I come back, my Gangers will be so happy that I'm back, they're gonna share my channel with the world!" Of course, none of that happened!
Sure, my subscription number was going up, but not as fast as I wanted it to! It was driving me crazy! My comment section wasn't going up very much either, neither was my liked video count! I couldn't take it anymore! But that's when I remembered that one Victorious episode I was watching.
While during the first few months of being in Farmville, I was watching my favorite teen show again from Nickledeon called Victorious, starring the one and only Victoria Justice. The episode was called "The Bird Scene." As I was watching the end, I had a realization. That I shouldn't care if people don't like my video content about The Teen Gang, as long as I like it, as long I'm proud of what I'm trying to create, it doesn't matter what people don't say. I think it's awesome and that's all that truly matters.
Then, as my Anniversary came around, I made a video showing my real face, explaining exactly what animals I used to make The Teen Gang, where the name came from, how they became the animals they are today, and my reasons for why they exist. The video has up to 47 views as of today, and it's been out for a week. I also realized that there's an analogy to The Teen Gang. They are like a soup.
Let me explain, I have my ingredients, in this case The Teen Gang members, characters, their story arcs and Spin Off Projects, I've got my recipe in this case making my YouTube videos, I've got the stuff to mix the soup with, which would be my IPad where I make the videos. Then, I gather everything I need, I start working on it until it's just the way I want it, I give it a little taste or view, double check again, and ta da! I've got myself something to share with the world!
But of course, a soup isn't going to be perfect in one day, it takes years to perfect, and I'm still working on it. The Teen Gang may be very noticed or relatable to lots of people right now, but I know that I just keep working on The Teen Gang, members. OC cat characters, story arcs, and drawings, that soon everyone will eventually notice it for the great and memorable project that it could be.
After my 5th YouTube Anniversary and I was back to making videos, I felt like I was a little less crazy with being stuck in quarantine all day, but there's only two problems arising.
One, I was starting to feel homesick.
Two, I my cellphone was slowly starting to die.
Getting homesick and cellphone is about to die? To me, that's two bad things happening, at the wrong time, and that was just beginning. Next up? Was the blood cycle, that's right, I mean... I was about to start another monthly period.
