You spent another hour at the cafe chatting with Iwaizumi and catching up on what he's been up to and what you had planned for your future. It was interesting to get to sit and chat with the man like this, you barely knew anything about him in high school except for the fact that he was the ace of a powerhouse school. Of course, you would run into him during tournaments, that's how you got to know him. It was always the same, you'd be filling up waters or running to the bathroom before a match and run into the infamous playboy, Oikawa. He would start to hit on you and make you a little uncomfortable, then Iwaizumi would set him straight and apologize to you. Although you never admitted it out loud, you always enjoyed seeing the two, whether it'd be during matches or just around the tournament hall.
So, running into them again, and being able to actually sit and have a chat with Iwaizumi was nice. You had admired him as a player in high school, but getting to know little bits about him today made you like him even more.
Before leaving the cafe, you quickly exchanged numbers with Iwaizumi and left before Oikawa came to bother you again. Luckily, your favorite table was close to the door so you were able to zip out of there in the blink of an eye.
Chikara had messaged you that he was finally heading back to the apartment, so you agreed to meet up with him. You were so thankful that he had ended up at the same university as you, you would have been so lost without him. Sure, you ended up running into a lot of the boys you knew from volleyball, but it was different. They weren't your best friend, who knew you like he knew the back of his hand. In fact, Chikara probably knew you better than you knew yourself.
After the short walk back, you went straight to your apartment so you could take a quick shower and change into more comfortable clothes. Dinners with Chikara also meant it was gonna be a movie night, and in the rotation it was your turn to pick the movie. You slipped on your favorite pair of leggings and a baggy long sleeve shirt, your hair up in a messy bun, and picked out one of the movies you had brought with you. Since it had been a while, you decided to go with the classic, Howl's Moving Castle. You knew that Chikara wouldn't mind since he liked the film as well. You grabbed a few more things from your house that was needed for the movie, then head down to Chikara's apartment.
When Chikara opened the door to his apartment, you were greeted with the pleasant aromas of curry. Your mouth practically drooling at the smell that permeated throughout the apartment. Not many knew this, but Chikara was a great cook and you were lucky enough to be able to eat his food pretty much all the time.
"Chikara! It smells so good!" you cooed as you shuffled into the apartment.
"Thanks, I added all your favorites in this time," He smiled as he walked over to the pot on the stove giving the curry a little stir.
You placed the snacks and pillows you had brought, down on the floor in front of his tv. You cleared books off of his table while you waited for the food to finish.
