The first day of classes, the first day of university. You were nervous, but with every step closer and every sip of your americano, you started to get excited. Perhaps it was just the caffeine that was starting to course through your body, but either way you were thankful that the nerves were slowly dissipating. The front gates of the school were crowded with many different students. You were amazed by all the different personalities that seemed to walk through the gates. Especially since it was the city, everyone seemed way different from your hometown, but then again after living about a week in the city already it was not too big of a culture shock for you.
"Good morning, Sugawara-san," you heard a gentle greeting from beside you as you were making your way to class.
"Oh, good morning, Akaashi-san!" you smiled warmly at him as you took a little piece of your muffin to snack on.
"Where are you headed?"
"I have literature first, what about you?"
"Oh, we have the same class," He chuckled, "I wonder if we will get any assignments today..."
"I hope not... I was hoping for more of a syllabus and introductions type of day," you chuckled sheepishly.
"I agree. Having assignments on the first day would be sad," he nodded in agreement. "Was there a good coffee shop around school?" he added noting the coffee and muffin in your possession.
You nodded, "It's kind of close to the school, but its on the way from my house. It's a really nice cafe and their coffee is amazing. OH! Kuroo-senpai works there as well!" You added and chuckled.
Akaashi nodded as he listened, "Ah, I haven't seen Kuroo-san in a while. It's interesting that he also lives in this area as well."
You nodded, "Right? What are the chances we all ended up running into each other."
Luckily, most of your classes were in the same building for the morning so you didn't have to rush around anywhere and with the help of Akaashi you were able to find the building without any problems. Your morning classes seemed to fly by in an instant. Most of the classes were as you had hoped, mostly went over the syllabus for the semester and any big projects or exams that you should expect later in the semester. There was also a lot of introductions so the class could get to know each other, mostly boring first day type of things. But you weren't complaining, you knew you would need to ease your mind back into studying once again.
Finally your lunch break had arrived. Luckily, you were able to get lucky when registering for classes and gave yourself about an hour and a half for lunch. You knew exactly where you wanted to go. You had been thinking about it ever since your first visit there the week before, the popular onigiri shop just outside of the front gates of the school. You happily made your way there, praying that the line wasn't too long. But then again your lunch break was a bit early, so hopefully you wouldn't experience any of the lunch rush.
