The sound of gunfire is the first thing I wake up to every morning and the last thing I hear before I go to bed. I moved far away from the city to get away from the people the noise. This war only brought it closer. Damn Riviera Uprisers. Attacking our Queen. I know they didn't think they could try that and get away with it.
This war has already taken so much from us...from me.
I walk into the living room and pick up my son's picture. Endymion....my poor boy. Called to fight to defend this country. He looked so handsome in his uniform. His dark black hair barely seen underneath his hat. He tried his best to look serious in this picture but always the goofy one, he had to let a little smile show.
This was the last time I saw my boy alive. He was killed after his platoon was hit by the Silent But Deadly Bomb. The bomb is filled with hydrogen sulfide. They never saw it coming. None of them made it out alive. Damn those Riviera soldiers. Damn the whole country.
I turn the radio on to relax a bit. Of course, the only thing they are talking about is this war. I was about to turn it off when I heard something that caught my attention.
"Many Riverites are being brought to camps in this country as our military continues to overrun their country and their soldiers. The camp is located in the outskirts of the capital city. The site is heavily guarded and citizens are asked to avoid the area. The government wants to remind everyone while this may be inconvenient, it is important to our overall success in the war. For Ordin, For All." he ended.
"For Ordin, For All." I turned off the radio and headed to bed.
