Elizabeth is the first vampire queen to have power on the throne. Sulpicia, Athenodora and Azula(Marcus' mate) are merely queen consorts, just like Jasper is a King Consort.

Also, Jasper and Eliza got married a month after she turned into a vampire. I would add it but I saw no point, because they are pretty domestic already without the marriage. Besides, most vampires don't do marriage anyway.
If you haven't noticed, The title is now "The Human Countess" and the reason why is if the sequel does well, MAYBE it can become a trilogy.
