Ps. This was written using my phone so please bear with me and point out any spelling mistakes I made. (Or just any mistakes in general.)

Pps. My research says that Jared and Paul phased in New Moon, but I'll have them phase half a month after Sam did (Sam phased before twilight happened, when the Cullens arrived to Forks.) I'll also add another character, a very minor one, to phase along Jared and Paul. Just to even the grounds a little bit.

Ppps. Kyle, Alice's mate, had been with Alice since she sought him out before she found Jasper, and had been a shifter since.

Yasinya, Ukraine, 2020

Jasper opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling lights, blinking confusedly.

He has no recollection of the past few hours whatsoever.

He remembers cuddling with Eliza, then just...darkness.

Next thing he knows, he was staring at the ceiling of Eliza's room.

"Oh good, you're awake, Jazzy! It's been ten hours!" The voice startled Jasper from his confused musings. He was so confused and lost that he hadn't heard Eliza walk in.

"Telling me I'm awake implies that I've fallen asleep... and we don't sleep..." Jasper's words trailed off as he noticed the sheepish look she wore.

"Well...uhm...the family is waiting for you downstairs so I can explain what happened. It seems that you're not the only one who had fallen asleep. I was the first one up and I found the lot of them snoring slightly on the couch, in extremely awkward positions that would've been painful had they been human. Even the children in the dungeons were sleeping." Eliza said, baffling Jasper if his dropped jaw was anything to go by.

They all fell asleep? How is that even possible?

Jasper went downstairs after a shower, finding the Cullens in higher spirits than before. Even Rosalie, who would normally be blank-faced, was practically vibrating with joy as she spoke to Caitlyn who returned from helping her friend.

"Good morning everyone. Where's the Volturi?" He asked, noticing the Volterran clan's absence.

"They had left after you put me to bed last night, except for Feronia and Stefan. The female child is a vampire, and as much as I would like to just off her myself, the kings are the ones responsible for judgement for your species. Valentin is ours to kill according to Caitlyn, but Isabella is not." Eliza explained, not even batting an eye when Jasper lifted her up to sit on his lap. She had waited for everyone to quieten down, before talking with a smile.

"So, aside from Carlisle, who are well versed in biology?" She asked, smiling when Rosalie raised her hands.

"We all know the basics, but only Rosalie had done any medical or biological degrees." Edward explained.

"Well then. Does any of you know how the venom works?" Most of them shook their head, as Rosalie, Edward, Esme and Carlisle nodded theirs.

"It took Rosalie and I years to understand the venom, and hadn't had the chance to tell the family about it." Carlisle spoke from where he was sitting across Eliza.

"Let's start with that then. Could one of you explain?" Eliza asked, smiling brightly at Rosalie when the blonde started explaining.

"All cells that we have contains receptors that identify the chemical substances our bodies can take. As it turns out, humans have a receptor for the venom, and it was pretty damn hard to find. The venom encases ever single individual cell in our bodies, even the outer ones, hence why we sparkle like diamonds and have skin that are near impenetrable. You see, the venom works like diamons do. In order to shape a diamond, you must have a tool with diamond. In order to pierce a venom coated surface, we must use a venom laced material. A regularknife wouldbend and break if they come in contact with our skin, but a venom laced knife can cut through cleanly."

"Wait so you're telling me that the venom is a chemical?" Emmett asked, eyes wide at the explaination of his wife.

"What did you think the venom was? Even water is a chemical." Eliza reasoned, watching the wheels click in their minds.

"To continue Rose's explanation, the venom works by latching on to the specific receptor, encasing the spell snd freezing them. They can move, but they are frozen from being able to do anything, which explains the lack of aging. We need the blood to survive because the blood carries the nutrients and chemicals that we need. The venom is also has healing properties that we haven't discovered yet. Human blood has more nutrients than animal blood, but both contains the basic nutrients." Carlisle pickud up the explaination before silence could envelop them.

"Us Immortal Humans are different. We're born with the venom receptor, and another special one in our stomach lining that activates when a bag of human blood is consumed. If the venom receptor gets triggered through a bite before the ones in our stomach, we turn into vampires and stay that way. If it's the other way around, we'll end up like Renesmee, a hybrid. Wolves are also different, because it's a gene they are born with, and are triggered by instinctual feelings. Jacob said that his old Alpha, Sam, as well as a few others phased as the Cullens arrived in Forks. The rest, including the only female, Leah, phased when the Victoria girl came. That is all instinct." Stefan explained.

"I don't know how abilities worked. Especially mental ones. My ability is a switch. I can look in my mind as see switches of anyone that I've encountered that has abilities. However, if my ability is amplified enough, I can become a switch to anything that concerns a being, as evidence to the phenomenon that occurred yesterday. Stefan had, in his stressed state, released the binds to his amplifying abilities and unknowingly amplified mine. I remember wishing that Jasper could sleep too, and that anyone in the house do as well. In my stressed and amplified state, I had, unknowingly flipped a switch in your brains that allowed the production of the hormone melatonin, which is, if you don't know, the hormone that regulates the sleeping cycle." Eliza explained, before getting up abruptly and left the room. She came back holding a necklace.

"Do you recognise this pendant, Jacob?" Eliza asked the youngest shifter whose eyes widened as he took in the details on the pendant.

"T-that's the pendant given by the pack before ours to friends of the tribe, to be passed down in their bloodlines." Jacob stammered. All shifters in the tribe were given the history of the pendant and to whom they were given.

"Your great grandfather is Ephraim, isn't he?" Eliza smiled as Jacob nodded.

"I met Ephraim Black in 1952, few years after you left. Levi Uley had been hurt after a hunt. I found him in the middle of the woods alone, and immediately stabilised him before running off to find his Chief for help. At the time, the rest of the tribe was suffering too, from the same plant they all thought was edible. I healed as much as I could while I was there, and eventually found the cause of the illness and promptly burned it all. I left after the pack was stable enough, and I found the pendant along with a note stating that I and my bloodline is welcome whenever I am in need of help or a place to stay."

Jasper sat frozen, wondering at the heart his mate possessed in order for her to be a friend to both the Volturi and the Quileute Tribe. He shook his head and kissed the back of her head, only to freeze again at the words she said next.

"I believe it's time I visit the tribe again."

Okay I'm probably insane because I woke up completely bewildered at the dream that I had.

I was fighting a duck in my dreams.... The duck was using its bill and I'm using an umbrella.....
