Anais sat in her algebra class, bored out of her mind.
"Nais?" A boy whispered.
Nais is what she told people to call her. Ana reminded her too much of home, where her heart still ached for.
"What?" She whispered back.
"You look good" the boy smirked, "are you free after school?".
"No, I have... stuff" she lied.
"Liar" the boy huffed.
"Ugly" she huffed back. "And definitely not my type, John"
John sighed dramatically and put his hand to his heart, pretending to be offended. "Then what's your type?" He asked.
"I don't think they have it in this state" she said "now shh, I'm trying to sleep".
"Nais?" Her best friend whispered. "Is he bothering you?".
"No, Carmen, he doesn't bother me" she smiled.
She laid her head on her desk and began to fall asleep.
"Anais!" The teacher shouted.
"Huh?" She yawned.
"Your wanted in the office" Mrs Carlton said in a strict voice.
Anais walked to the office slowly, why did they want her? she wondered.
As she walked through the halls she passed the trophy case, which was filled with her soccer teams 1st and 2nd place trophies, and her cheerleading trophies.
As she admired them she remembered back to when she won those, and thought about the soccer game this weekend and how she planned on puting another one in that half-filled case.
When she reached the office she saw her mom standing there.
"Mom?" She yawned again.
"Sweety, we're moving again" her mom said in a soft voice.
"Where?" Anais asked, worried.
"You'll see when we get there" her mom smiled brightly.
