"I love the beach!" Anaisa giggled as she dipped her toe in the water.
"Anaisa!" Mr Avery called out.
"Get away from the water, you don't know how to swim".
"But I can learn daddy" Anaisa said with a bright smiled. "You said you learned from your daddy, so you can teach me".
"Ana sweetie, we really should get going now" Mrs Avery said. "It's getting dark, and it's about to rain".
"But mommy! I wanna swim like a mermaid" Anaisa yelled.
"Anaisa, shh.. your gonna get everyone's attention" her dad laughed.
"Exactly, people need to know that I'm here daddy. Now please take me to swim" Anais yelled.
"Okay, okay. Just for 5 minutes though".
"But honey, it's about to storm." Mrs Avery said.
"It's fine mommy. Daddy's a great swimmer" Anaisa giggled.
"Yes. Plus it'll only be 5 minutes" Mr Avery said.
Her dad picked up Anaisa and carried her into the water. "Hold your breath" he said before dunking her under the water and quickly bringing her back up. For an 8 year old she was fairly small.
"That was AMAZING" Anaisa yelled with wide eyes. "Again!".
He did it again 2 more times.
"Mommy come join us, it's so much fun!" Anaisa giggled.
"Alright. But only for five minutes" her mom said while laughing at her daughters silly behavior.
As the family of three splashed around in the water it slowly started to rain.
"Oh my" Mrs Avery laughed.
"We should get going" Mr Avery sighed.
"Please just 2 more minutes Daddy?!" Anaisa pouted.
"Fine. But if we all get sick it's because of Anaisa" Mr Avery joked.
"If we all get sick then we'll just all take care of each other" Mrs Avery laughed.
Anais laughed at her parents jokes, then continued to splash around.
"Ana, look I found you something" Mrs Avery said.
"Oh my God what is it?!" Anaisa yelled.
Her mom opened her hands, revealing a baby turtle.
"Oh. My. God. Daddy can I keep it?!" She screamed while jumping up and down.
"Of course you can" her dad laughed. "what are you gonna name it?"
"Hmm.." Anaisa examined the small creature closely. She slowly picked it up and got a closer look. "What is it?"
Her dad looked at it. "I think it's a boy" he said.
"Yes. Its a boy" her mom, who was a veterinarian, reassured.
"In that case.." Anaisa giggled, "Steve" she said with a huge smile as she nodded her head.
"Steve the turtle" her dad laughed. "Welcome to the family" he said to the turtle.
"We have to go get him a bed" Anaisa giggled.
"Then let's go" her mom laughed along.

"Huh?" Anais yawned.
"We're here".
