Ana's pov.
As I sat in my room, with Shawn cuddling me so tight can hardly breathe, I thought.

I like being here.

I miss my dad.

I hate my mom.. no I don't.

I can't do biology.

Why am I so bad at biology?

I wish I had a snack .. oh wait, Shawn's right there ;)

I love him

He's so cute.

Is it too early to thing about marriage?

*Wedding bells* I would look so good as a bride.

He would look so hot in a tux.

*Treat people with kindness by Harry Styles comes on* omg I love this song

Shawn Avery.. ?

S.. Santiago..

Carmen Santiago

I miss her 😔

I should call her

but I don't want to wake Shawn

Wait when did he fall asleep?

Oh well

She was so nice

She was my best friend

I miss her

Suddenly Shawn gets up.

"I'm hungry" he says.

"My Aunt is making Lasagna" I tell him. "And she makes really good Lasagna".

"When?".

"It should be done in about 15 minutes but if you need something to hold you over there's Starburst in the second drawer" I point.

He just smiles, gives me a peck on the lips and hurry's over to get them.

I stop the record player and begin to think more about Carmen.

*Flash back:
It was the first day of Seventh grade..
"Ana, I'm trying to take your picture hold still" Carmen said.

Me, not knowing her that well at the time, was getting annoyed.

"Do I have to wear this?" I sighed, looking down at the khaki skirt, then back up a little at the plain white shirt, them back down to the floor at the plain white shoes.

"Yes, unfortunately" she nodded. "Now hold still or your yearbook picture will be a blur".

I hold still and start to think about Shawn. A sad look washes across my face.
