"I hate you guys."

The group of friends turn around to see Nini with an emotionless expression. They all looked at each other in sync and bursted out into laughter.

"You guys almost made me crack up there!." The girl rolled her eyes before pouring herself a cup of coffee. "you guys are such weirdos.." She mumbled to herself before adding in 2 packs of sugar and some cream.

"So did you read the messages?" Seb raised a brow in curiosity.

"I did.." Nina pressed her lips into a fine line before shaking her head. "..but I don't think i could do it." She doubted herself and her ability to write an original song.

"Maybe not with that attitude." Kourtney scolded as a slight curl formed on Nini's lips.

"I just wouldn't know what to write about." Nini shrugged, but her friends knew her too well that it was just another lousy excuse.

"Please, you're a girl living on your friend's couch, working two jobs, one of them involving feeding an old person-- no offense, working your ass off to make as much money as you can, to support not one but two grown adults who are your moms, and they aren't even here!"

The group of friends looked at each other with wide eyes and shocked faces.

"is that it??" Ashlyn strikes sarcastically, grimacing at Carlos.

"that was a bit harsh Los.." Gina frowned as she laid her arms around Nini for solace, who still hasn't said a word.

"if there wasn't so many people here i'd be choking you right now." the blonde boy threatened.

"mhmm." Kourtney shook her head in disappointment while she kept her hands on her hips and staring down at Carlos.

"--guys no, he's right." Nini smiled slightly. Taking no offense to Carlos statement because it was the truth. Her friends exchanged odd looks before turning their attention back to NIni.

"i mean, he could've just reworded it and tell me to use life experiences as inspiration but go off i guess." Nini eyes Carlos who winces from his harsh words.

"I'm sorry, but you already know how i am." Carlos pouted with a shrug. Nini was in fact grateful to have a friend who never sugar-coated anything. She believed it kept her grounded.
