Raymond continued to examine the stock charts on his iPhone while waiting for his coffee to brew. He could hear faint footsteps coming down the staircase as he peeled his eyes away from the screen, feeling a bit of a strain. As expected Ricky stood under the archway with a look of disappointment yet again.

"Good morning to you too," Raymond ridiculed, his smile growing broader by the second.

Without saying a word, Ricky had turned his back  in attempt to make his way upstairs.

"could you come here for a sec?" Raymond called over quickly before Ricky went a-wall. He took a sip of his black coffee, watching Ricky pull out one of the chairs to take a seat. His silence sense something was wrong.

Raymond has a tendency of being direct, much like Ricky in certain aspects. Yet this time around, it was difficult for him to go about the situation. As defensive Ricky is with his personal life, Nini was now involved somehow and Raymond was determined to get to the bottom of it.

"It's the second day in a row that Nini had called out sick. You guys must've had one hell of a night."

Ricky shrugged, not wanting to discuss what really happened. It was one thing for him not to partake with the business during his stay back home. But getting involved with one of their workers is another thing. She wasn't a staff of the business, but she was still working for Raymond. He looked at Ricky, curious to know what was clouding up in his brother's mind.

"she's not in trouble.. is she?" Ricky felt somewhat responsible for her absence.

"Not at all. She's actually been preparing breakfast and lunch meals and dropping them off early morning—"

"— wait she was just here?"

Raymond nodded, noticing how quick Ricky responded.

"Yesterday too." Raymond added on. "but that can only go on for so long, she'll eventually need to be here."

"Right.."

"I mean how many drinks did that girl even have?" He purposely joked to get a reaction from Ricky. He knew it was more than just a hang over that kept the girl secluded at home.

"maybe she's actually sick," Ricky tried to convince his brother but it only raised his suspicions even more. Raymond put the empty coffee mug into the sink and reached for his suit that was thrown over one of the kitchen chairs, sliding it on as he adjusts the fit.
