"So how'd you convince Ricky to leave in such short notice?" Ej questioned while pouring Raymond another glass of bourbon. The four men comfortably spaced apart in the private jet.

"Right? I can barely get the guy to leave his own office." Red uttered, his eyes rolling back.

"I can hear you guys." Ricky spoke under his breath as he laid on the cream leather chair with his eyes still closed.

Raymond chuckled before taking a sip of the honey colored liquid. With tired eyes, Ricky snuck a peak out the window. He squinted, unprepared by the exposure of the bright rays of the sun that was now beginning to rise. It wasn't long until he closed the window curtain. Ricky adjusted his position that he's been laying for the past few hours, reaching over to grab am empty glass for Ej to pour some alcohol in. They were minutes away from landing and the anticipation was getting to him.

"So how did Lilian handle the news when you told her you had to leave?" Raymond courageously asked the question that they were all so curious to know about. Ricky took a sip of the bourbon and allowed the liquid to burn down his throat.

*flashback*

"So you're leaving just like that?" The blonde girl with porcelain skin and icy blue eyes kept watch of Ricky. He continued to pack his belongings in the suitcase that was set on his California king sized bed.

"I don't have much of a choice Lilian." He answered dryly, almost hearing the tiredness in his voice.

"you didn't think to talk to me about it first?!" She exclaimed as her voice echoed through his room.

"I didn't think I'd have to? It's not any of your concern." Ricky was blatantly frank with his emotions. It was a personality trait that Lilian absolutely hated.

"--None of MY concern?? I'm your girlfriend, I should have a say in this!" She argued to get her point across but seeing no reaction from him, she impetuously reached for the perfectly folded clothing from his luggage and threw them back onto the bed.

"Are you insane?!" Ricky jolted at the girl, shooting daggers for eyes.

"Maybe i am." Lilian folded her arms across her chest, her eyes beginning to well up. "and maybe I wouldn't be this way if you weren't being such an ass and actually be a damn boyfriend! God Ricky you are relentless. Two years, two fucking years, and you still don't know how to treat a woman." Lilian spat.

"then we should end it here." Ricky proposed. He continued to refold the clothes that she had unraveled.

Lilian's arms dropped to her sides. Her lips parted, unable to form any words. All she could do was watch him pack the last of his belongings before closing it shut. He finally acknowledges her presence once again, but she was only met with eyes that were empty and emotionless.

"It's pretty clear I'm not fit for this." Ricky expressed. "I don't know how long I'll be gone for and I refuse to have you waiting for me."

Ricky can't deny that Lilian was the 'perfect girlfriend', at least the physical aspect of it. She may have had been a little clingy and dramatic at times, but they definitely shared a lot of fun memories together. Yet there was always a voice in his head that couldn't see her as anything more than a just a girlfriend. Both having busy schedules, all they ever do to spend time together is fancy date nights, and sex. Whenever Ricky does something that'll disappoint Lilian, his solution would be an expensive gift. She was a sucker for anything luxurious, so why waste time talking about the issue when it's quicker to buy a Hermes purse and Louis Vuitton heels. Ricky knew he was far from boyfriend material, but so did Lilian-- which was why he never felt bad enough for her. She knew exactly what and who she was getting herself involved with.

"I'll see you when you get back." She sniffled as she takes one final look at him before storming out.

*flashback ends*

"so... you guys haven't broken up?" Red asked in hesitation, a bit confused.

"At this point I don't know what we are." Ricky shrugged carelessly, consuming the last drop of alcohol in his glass.

The guys took glimpses at each other, signaling one another to drop the conversation.
