"Surprised to see me?" Lilian exchanged a light smile. He stood there just staring at the girl. His eyebrows lowered, his face grim and featureless."What are you doing here?" He asked. The coarseness in his voice and the undertone of tension in his eyes was enough to let her know that he wasn't exactly thrilled to see her.
"We need to talk," she crossed her arms, a bit agitated from all the questions that had been rattling in her head ever since she boarded onto the plane.
"you couldn't have called?"
"you wouldn't have answered"
Ricky didn't respond. She knew she was right.
"Thought so." She sneered.
"Ricky are you still there?" A fragile voice called out. Ricky turned around to see Ramona approaching cautiously. Lilian peaked through to see his grandmother. A change in her expression quickly shifted. With hesitation but not much of an option, Ricky widened the door to allow Lilian to walk in.
"Grandma this is Lilian, Lilian this is my grandmother Ramona." Ricky stepped back to allow the two to get acquainted.
"It's so nice to finally meet you, Ricky has talked so much about you." Lilian lied through her teeth. Ricky couldn't help but snicker. Being the private person that he is, he wouldn't share much of his personal life. He most definitely didn't recall a time where he had talked about his grandmother with Lilian. Especially since he had lost touch with her since he moved to New York. The only time he had brought Ramona up in a conversation was the day he packed up to leave for Salt Lake City. And that didn't end well.
"Is that so? Why don't you come on in." Ramona humbly invited her into her home.
"I'll let you two get familiar. I really have to get going—"
"h-hold on." Lilian was confused to see him so eager to leave. She reached for his arm in desperation.
"You can talk about all the stories that I told you about, trust me it's better hearing it from Grandma herself." Ricky smirked, as he gently removed her hand from his arm. She looked at him with eyes that pleaded him to stay.
"I'll get the oatmeal cookies, you can get comfortable in the living room dear". Ramona happily directed. Ricky waved the two women goodbye. Lilian pouted to herself as she watched Ricky leave.
"Oh hell no.." Kourtney shook her head in disapproval."Cmon kourt, please?" Nini flipped her camera to show Kourtney how cute and helpless the cat was in hopes to gain her sympathy.
"Did I not tell you I was allergic to cats??"
"You're lying"
"I'll start wheezing and shit, it's not pretty."
